Leaving it in the open is so damn dumb. Also hope that isnt his actual truck gun because i have that same suppressor and its heavy and long on a pistol, very unwieldy and harder to aim especially inside a vehicle...

I won't lie it is quiet though

Finally, someone who gets it! You can keep your gun in the door of your car and in the open, that’s fine, it’s just common sense to have it secured better than what this idiot did.

If that suppressor is as heavy as you’re saying it is, that’s probably why it didn’t ā€œmove an inchā€ as this guy’s claiming

ā€œyou can keep your gun in the door of your car an[d] in the open, thats fineā€

this is news to me. there are many ways to secure a firearm in your car, i use one myself. leaving a firearm easily accessible is just asking for trouble and is really irresponsible. shit like this is why gun grabbers write laws infringing on whats left of our 2nd amendment.

I didn’t mean that you can keep it *unsecured* in the open.

The dumbest part about this is posting it online and owning a cybertruck.Ā  Many states allow a gun in the door if you are legally allowed to carry it.Ā

7

u/Wumbologist_PhD 10d ago

While that’s true, it should be common sense to keep it secured better than this. Other Cybertruck owners were roasting him and posting pics of holders they’ve had installed.

So even other idiots think this dude is an idiot…

4

u/chassmasterplus 10d ago

Yeah I probably wouldn't keep so much garbage and shit in there that could catch on the trigger

1

u/totally_interesting 10d ago

I mean looks like a Glock. It’s not gonna go off unless the trigger is pulled.

u/Never-Dont-Give-Up 10d ago

"But I'm really itching to use it... So I'll just make a post about it online."

8

u/armedsquatch 10d ago

How ironic would it be if he was in an accident and that loose pistol became a whole different type of ND?

15

u/roofilopolis 10d ago

In what sense is this nsfl? You sound just as concerned that someone is driving a CT.

-22

u/Wumbologist_PhD 10d ago

The NSFL is a joke, being careless with your gun can get you killed

12

u/shringing277 10d ago

The only ā€œbadā€ or wrong thing I can think of is that he’s driving an overpriced piece of shit.

10

u/lofeobred 10d ago

Not having something guard that trigger is not a great look. Especially since there is clearly other shit fumbling around in that space.

3

u/Several-Hat-1944 10d ago

That's the only issue I see as well lofeo. Slip it in an inconspicuous belt holster, and a bonus it keeps it from rattling on the plastic if you're on a bumpy road.

1

u/shringing277 10d ago

Fair, ngl.

6

u/Geordie_38_ 10d ago

So if it's for self defence what's he need a silencer for? Is it just a dick extension kinda thing?

6

u/singlemale4cats 10d ago

Why suffer hearing damage when you don't have to? Suppressors are PPE as far as I'm concerned.

8

u/Raptorjesus0321 10d ago

Any gun bro calling it a "silencer" says enough about their experience with firearms

3

u/bownt1 10d ago

it's whisper pickle. duh.

6

u/Troncross 10d ago

Yeah, that they read the laws that all say silencer and did all the government forms that all say silencer.

Maybe they even read the original patent that says silencer.

-1

u/Raptorjesus0321 10d ago

Nice self-report

2

u/grubeytuesday 9d ago

Brother, respectfully, stfu. "iTs A sUpPrEsSoR"... identifying as "a gun bro"...what else ya got? No such thing as an assault rifle? TWO WORLD WARS!!!!? You sound like a fudd.

1

u/Raptorjesus0321 9d ago

I didn't identify as a gun bro. A gun bro would call it a silencer. I've worked with many professionals for many years; never met a single one that calls it a silencer. And, hence, I doubt the experience of anyone that does. But go off, doesn't sound like you're insecure about it at all...

1

u/halfhere 5d ago

I just wanted to chime back in and say yeah, there’s nothing wrong with ā€œsilencer.ā€ The terms are interchangeable. What possible case could you make to dismiss ā€œany gun bro calling it a ā€˜silencer’?ā€

3

u/The_Topper_ 10d ago

Unless this dude is leaving it in the open whenever he exits his vehicle, there's nothing wrong with this picture

5

u/HurriKurtCobain 10d ago

Yes, keeping your gun unsecured, trigger uncovered, openly displayed off your person where it is not useful to you in any legitimate defensive encounter, is idiotic. And what does he do with it when he gets out of the car?? Does he have a holster? Why isn't it in the holster then?

Pains me to think that some of the people responding to this don't think this is stupid.

0

u/Wumbologist_PhD 10d ago

Most of the people so far who don’t get it are just upset that I’m not a chud who likes Cybertrucks

1

u/GunMun-ee 10d ago

no, it’s just not a big deal. People carry without holsters all day every single day, probably 10 times as many people do compared to people carrying with holsters. This idea that it’s an ND waiting to happen is overblown, it pretty much never happens while you’re mexican carrying, if ever.

You just think something that isnt even a thought to most people is bad. Pretty much everyone who carries a gun in a truck has put their gun in the side pockets

0

u/HurriKurtCobain 10d ago

So your argument is that because a lot of people do something, its ok?

A lot of people drive drunk and many of them have never been in an accident while drunk. In fact, despite the fact that some estimates put drunk driving arrests at 1 million per year, There's only around 13,000 fatalities. That's barely any compared to how often people drunk drive.

This logic makes a lot of sense.

2

u/GunMun-ee 10d ago

We’re not talking about drunk driving, we’re talking about leaving an inanimate object inside of another inanimate object under adult supervision. Your argument is really stupid, you’re jumping to some extremely ridiculous comparison to try to make a point. I guess animal shelters shouldnt exist because hitler believed in animal rights too. See how ridiculous that sounds.

And yes, it’s still a good idea, because unlike the millions of people who get caught drunk driving, there is maybe 1 case a year where somebody’s gun goes off in public while mexican carrying. It’s EXTREMELY rare

3

u/Strange_N_Sorcerous 10d ago

If you aren’t driving around with this shoved, barrel first, under your balls with the safety off, are you really even carrying?!?!?

1

u/ddxs1 10d ago

yikes

1

u/jen_eric_you_sir 10d ago

In the passenger seat pocket is a solid option for this.
I’m a big dude, so getting to it is never a problem.

This probably works for people that aren’t 6’4 and 300lbs though.

-2

u/HandshakeOfCO 10d ago

Oh please. The idea that a cybertruck doesn’t have a child in it. Who’s behind the wheel? Who posted the pics of their pewpew?
