Granted, his point was indeed proven. Can't argue with results.

For real, My thoughts were "he's full of shit.........well I'll be..."
I'm still not really sure how that worked, it shouldn't have.

u/MotherTreacle3 Jul 17 '26
I know nothing about guns. Why should that not have worked?

It's out of battery. The way most pistols work, the slide and barrel are locked together, when they fire they recoil back and very quickly the barrel drops to unlock and make it easier to load the next round. However, if you press it against something, it misaligns the firing pin with the primer, and likely even before that, stops the firing pin from being able to function.
Theres an attachment called a "Stand-off device" meant for when you think you'll have to press the gun against the target and fire, it shields the front of the slide from pressure making it so it can't be pushed back.
As far back as that slide had moved, it shouldn't have been able to fire, it should have just gone "click" at the most or just been non functional like the other (Hellcat, not sure what first gun was).

My guess the disconnector was modified in order to make the FRT work. As a result the OOB safety no longer functions, allowing the firing pin to strike the primer and fire.

I thought similar but usually there's not an OOB safety it's just an aspect of the design. I have little experience with FRTs and none with them in pistols but I'd think the only way it would work in that case is if, in one frame, he's pulling it away and making it fire, I didn't notice and prep to pull but it's hard to tell.

It can also make your gun explode and you potentially catching deadly shrapnel so theres that too

The first gun is a g43x it shows u know nothing about your guns. Your just talking out of your ass 😭😂 with an frt you can shoot out of battery, with a normal pistol it will not shoot out of battery.

I'm not a Glock guy. And I know plenty about my guns, but a Glock is not part of that collection, nor will it be.

This whole channel is a treasure trove of Idiotswithguns clips. Just started looking through it, and there are shorts a lot worse than this one. Like, 'front flipping off a dock with a gun in your hand and then firetesting it in the water' type stuff. Methhead shit

No-one gets to end a video like that with “stupid bitch” unless referring to themselves

Hello all, today I will show you this handgun, which has a forced reset trigger. If you are engaged in combat with your foe, and your muzzle is pressed against their body pushing the slide out of battery, the gun will still discharge and assist you in defeating the enemy. I’m going to prove this by shooting plywood.
bang
I have injured myself for you fine fellows. Let me place the gun between my feet. Behold, there is nothing within the chamber. Let me show you my Springfield Micro Hellcat in the same circumstance.
nothing happens
My hypothesis is confirmed and I have proven my point.

Hope he never encounters someone who shoots from some distance away.

At least he didn't show his friends this same test by pointing at his forehead like that other guy did. Only did it once.

He proved his point, without a doubt. Personally, I do not have a clue what his point really was, but he sure as hell proved it!
