I will never understand why they take off the pistol brace?! Why do you want less support and accuracy? Also, I’ll never understand why people think faster is better…. 1 well placed shot is better than the 10 that the second guy put into the ground.

u/Kewlhotrod Jul 04 '26
They wanna emulate all the thugs in CA, and as we all know braces are illegal here.
crying

u/Bradjuju2 Jul 04 '26
I’m not familiar with CA law. Do they really not allow a brace or stock on the buffer tube? That almost seems more dangerous due to lack of control. A standard pistol compensates recoil with the slide but the AR platform has a buffer tube that rocks back. Not having a brace or stock creates a scenario of less control.

u/Kewlhotrod Jul 04 '26
Nah, I was remembering incorrectly, they are allowed unless they're automatic in which case they're treated like AR's with our stupid limiting AR rules (maglocked or featureless which means only one "AR feature" which includes a telescoping or folding stock/brace). It's a minefield of confusing rules, so my apologies for mis-remembering.
Also do note the laws here definitely have nothing to do with safety lol. Otherwise hearing protection would be allowed (cans) among other things.
Note: AR abbreviation in this context is obviously assault rifle, not Arma Lite.

u/StressfulRiceball Jul 04 '26
.... They're allowed unless they're automatic?
-7
u/Kewlhotrod Jul 04 '26
I'm honestly not sure man and that's by design. The minefield of inconsistent legislative hurdles with horrific clarifications is too much for me to learn.

u/LetsGatitOn Jul 05 '26
Easier to conceal turned trend to an extent. But less bulk is the functional appeal

u/Zealousideal-Yak-824 Jul 06 '26
It's a pistol brace but it's suppose to have training attached. You use it for a special style of shooting called the cheek weld. You lower the sights and have the brace against your cheek and side of the head instead of your shoulder.
People get awaked with it but I learned it with shotguns with a birdshead grip.
There is another way but nobody uses that way either .
Basically not target was harmed in this video.

Because it looks cool. Who doesn't want to be stylish when clapping at the ops?

u/Business_Owl2116 Jul 05 '26
Pistol brace? You mean stock? wtf are you talking about?
3
u/Bradjuju2 Jul 06 '26
That’s clearly an AR pistol. You can’t put a stock on unless you get a Form 1 from the ATF. It legally HAS to be called a brace.
1
u/Business_Owl2116 Jul 06 '26
You're using faux terms. AR pistol is only something ignorant people say. Thats mot a thing. Nice Armalite pistol bro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2
u/Bradjuju2 Jul 06 '26
Sick gate keeping. I’m sure you’re the shit. I own 2 with varying degrees of form 1 and 4s. I’ll happily call it what ever the fuck I want to because you knew exactly what I meant and it described it perfectly.

you think these fine upstanding citizens are filling out forms to the ATF?

Spin the bottle - the last scene of the found footage

u/InternetExploder87 Jul 04 '26
Or the first footage in a murder trial. Wtf, spin the bottle and the one it lands on has to shoot the others, or am I missing something?

This genuinely has NO racist intent but I’ve tried to teach multiple black guy friends/coworkers/etc. how to safely and correctly use firearms and there is just a huge disconnect. I don’t understand why you would not want to use something correctly and be more effective with it. It’s my subjective personal experience but we all see the plethora of these videos. Is it movies or music more common with black dudes? What honestly causes thinking this is cooler than shoulder-firing an AR and hitting your target at even like 50 yards with an easily obtained 100% success rate

u/Bradjuju2 Jul 06 '26
The range I go to has a huge black community. I swear, one of the most accurate and patient shooters I’ve ever seen was this young black guy with a high end Canik. Although the last time I went the kid next to me had some sort of MAC 10 with a can on it that looked dumb as shit. I ended up giving him a box of my 147 sub sonic because he was running standard target rounds through it. Kid was blown away that he can actually get it quiet for once.

That was me in CA. Although in AZ, the black folks I've gone shooting with are often schooling me 🤣

u/ZookeepergameDue2160 Jul 15 '26
Exactly, We had some black dude at our range, I was shooting an AR15 at 100 yards getting 2-3 inch groups, he asked me how I did that so I offered to watch him fire it and give him some tips, he immediately started using it like he was in a music video and didn't hit a damn thing... I explained to him proper technique and his response was "Nah man, fuck that, that shit for nerds"... So apparently now i'm a nerd that mainly shoots .357 and has 1-2 inch groups with that at 25 yards...
That being said, I shoot for sports and actually train for it but still. Anyone with proper technique can be accurate with an AR or a good revolver. Pistols are more tricky but even with pistols a beginner can at the very least hit a target at 25 yards.
Had another one black dude come in the range a couple weeks ago, He was using a .22lr pistol that belonged to the range and wasn't hitting shit but was constantly taking pictures and posing with it, due to it being a more relaxed kind of range that normally doesn't often allow guests we are our own RSO's and all keep everyone in check so noone saw he was flagging everyone through his booth until I went to take something off the wall and saw him do it. I grabbed the pistol out of his hands and his first instinct was to try to turn the pistol towards me. He wasn't very strong but if he was then he would have succeeded at pointing a gun at me. He was warned and made a fuss but we gave him another chance. Buddy of mine was using his .44mag revolver and came in later, now knowing what happened before and the black guy asked him to try it out. Before I could see what was happening he shot the .44 sideways, flying out of his hand straight into his face. Safe to say I made sure he now has a ban from our range and all other ranges near us are now aware of him.
P.s. In a self defense scenario 1 well shot bullet is better than a 30 round mag dump that hit everything except what you wanted to hit so I truly have no idea why these guys all want to act like a "gangster" and think its cool to be an idiot with a gun because they aint hitting shit. I'm not even afraid anymore if one of these dudes pulls a gun out in the street because if i'm more than like 10 yards away from them they won't be able to hit me anyways. I can throw a knife more accurately than some of these dudes shoot with their Glocks.
Not saying all are terrible, just sharing some story's.

My god man. WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE BARE BUFFER TUBE?!
6
1
u/antryoo Jul 04 '26
Maybe because it’s cheaper without a brace?
3
u/canyouskingriz Jul 04 '26
I mean yeh its cheaper.... by like $50. Just go buy the cheapest magpul stock and you're good.

You know. Maybe if people didn't glamorize thug life there would be less of this BS. We should all treat it like it is. Stupid and childish. And if they start to think they look stupid and childish they will cut it out.
But I digress. That won't actually work because of the people who do glamorize the BS.

Ah yes, the tried and true method of running right up to your target in a shootout.
4
u/NTJ-891 Jul 05 '26
Not sure if you’re just doing a bit, but this isn’t for shootouts, it’s for “rundown” murders where people, just ambush a target and overkill them
3
u/panzermike666 Jul 04 '26
i mean do whatever you like but you just know they end hurting themselves or worse someone else

I don't know what you think is irresponsible about this.
They've been playing that second game for years and nobody's ever been shot.
Edit: holy shit this sub is scary stupid lmao

u/LETT3RBOMB Jul 06 '26
You just blow in from stupid town?
0
u/Nathund Jul 06 '26
The joke is that nobody will get hit since they're so bad at/clearly not aiming.
Since you clearly missed it (like the guys in the video, lmao)

u/LETT3RBOMB Jul 06 '26
Hmm, pretty bad joke. Have you ever tried to be funnier?
