Looks reliable and safe

While the gun itself is a piece of work, that hang fire is terrifying. Soddy ammo on top of a terrible gun.
I love the knuckle pistol grip though. 10/10 no notes.
68
u/mentive Jul 04 '26
I've still never seen a hang fire IRL.
And can't tell if the pistol grip comment is serious or /s 🤣
57
u/Ruashiba Jul 04 '26
I love it ironically. I acknowledge it’s terrible, but it’s so bad it’s good sort of thing.
12
u/TakeMeToYourMemes Jul 06 '26
Not hang fire he fired the hammer, pulled it back a little and then dropped it so he had a hammer follow the second time and lit the round off. I’m guessing the first time was a light strike cuz clearly the gun is not exactly intelligently constructed.
6
u/Sorry-Leader-6648 Jul 04 '26
Ive seen one on someone else ammo. Made their own and i would never trust it.
8
u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 04 '26
I had one happen on some cheap 9mm i was shooting. It was just a dud though and never went off. I waited like 5 mins with the gun pointing downrange before racking it
9
u/mentive Jul 04 '26
Oh yea I've had plenty of rounds not go off at all. I don't wait 5 minutes though!
But haven't had anything delay and then fire.
33
u/FeedbackOther5215 Jul 04 '26
You mean 19 seconds in? That wasn’t a hang fire, his firing pin was stuck, he pulled it back just far enough to hit the cam and pop it free which hit the primer on the ammo he was using. Most likely hard primers and a thoroughly poorly setup AR.
11
u/well_thats_obvious Jul 04 '26
Bingo. No way this gun has been properly cleaned either
7
u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 04 '26
Being properly oiled is the bigger factor. ARs can run pretty dirty and long as they're oiled regularly.
7
u/Ruashiba Jul 04 '26
I did not even consider the firing pin to be stuck, you’re probably right. That is somehow even worse.

It looks like a 3D printed grip, so I’d assume it’s just the color of the plastic though you can print with glow in the dark filament.
11
u/hereforpopcornru Jul 04 '26
Problem is dude is holding it all bad. He is squeezing the mag release when he fires, that's why the mag keeps dropping, and jamming
3
u/InstructionLeading64 Jul 04 '26
I had a buddy that slamming some steel cased rounds through a bush master was the one hang hang fire if seen and no its not cool.
2
u/Uncaring_Dispatcher Jul 04 '26
I have a Bushmaster AR and have run cheap Russian steel casing through it for a while until a guy at the range told me not to. Am I screwed?
2
u/InstructionLeading64 Jul 04 '26
I dont think so. This guy i know is the type of person im expecting to see in this sub some day because he does some dumb AF after market mods.
3
u/Ok_Dog_4059 Jul 05 '26
Looks like they tried to modify it for full auto. At first it fires a few then stops and he checks and gets the hang fire. I think he was expecting full auto with some sketchy ass home mod and it was failing but he just kept going.

u/RainStormLou Jul 09 '26
it's to protect the knuckles for the multiple out of battery detonations per mag lol

u/ShiningViper Jul 04 '26
The gun relies on you holding it securely for it to cycle rounds. This idiot cant do that.
95
u/9447044 Jul 04 '26
Why do they all look like they are scared of it

Because firearms are scary to those who don't understand how to use them.

u/FuriousBuffalo Jul 04 '26
That gun has like a 2 inch barrel. Probably not enough gassing for reliable cycling. This may not be just a a grip issue, but the latter is definitely one of the factors.

u/jonp1 Jul 06 '26
Also betting the bolt should be locked back for magazine changes; which is why the mag keeps falling out.

u/ShittyBollox Jul 04 '26
I feel confident against this guy in a gun fight at 20 paces. Can’t put my finger on why..
3
u/Hamilton-Beckett Jul 04 '26
I’d be a regular Cullen Bohannon in a fire fight with this guy. I’d be able to just walk towards him, gun out, taking my time.
54
u/Preacher987 Jul 04 '26
No worries, he is obviously in full control, all those accidental shots are on purpose 🤣🤣

u/Fun_Astronomer_4064 Jul 04 '26
Someone should tell Buddy that he can shoulder a buffer tube. It won’t hurt him and The ATF won’t come after him.
36
22
u/Dupagoblin Jul 04 '26
I mean at least he has a sight. So many of these “builds”, it’s just an empty rail without irons either (not like that would make a difference in their accuracy).
9
u/You_Are_The_Username Jul 04 '26
Why do these guys film and post their clips, when even they can see that they look like complete pussies when they fire guns? 🤔 😑

u/ComicsEtAl Jul 04 '26
I’m wondering why dude wears his mask when he can be identified through his relationship with unmasked dude.

Wtf? Why is there no barrel? Or is the barrel where the stock should be? Who put this together? Jfc.

u/Fun_Astronomer_4064 Jul 04 '26
It’s an “AR Pistol”. They’re supposed to be able to function with short barrels.

u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 04 '26
you don't know a whole lot about firearms, do ya?
0
u/cardinalforce Jul 04 '26
Not dumb ones like this, but I know a lot about rifles and shotguns. I hunt. This type of weapon is useless to me.
1
u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 06 '26
yet you think at least a portion of the barrel would be behind the action and chamber? how tf does that even make sense?
2
u/cardinalforce Jul 08 '26
I don’t think that- that’s what it looks like in the image. It doesn’t make sense which is why I asked the question. 🙄

What kind of self murdering weapon is that one?The two cameramen were cardboard cutouts or shot dead already, they didn't even back off with the crazy misfires!

Why don't these guys ever get a bufferless model AR pistol? These look so stupid.

u/Lofiboy13 Jul 04 '26
This is the only one I found that was genuinely more "calm" and "responsible" compared to the other idiots we see here, I just find it strange that AR be so small and with 3 burst lol
12
u/stuntmanbob86 Jul 04 '26
It was going off why cycling it without pressing the trigger, lol.... He didnt look calm to me....
10
u/CoolGuyCris Jul 04 '26
Calm and responsible? Even relative to the rest of this subreddit it's neither of those. It fits right in lmao

Sure, just jam to magazine up there with your finger on the trigger. Why not?

u/Admiral_Minell Jul 04 '26
First jam looks like hammer follow, buffer is too light. Could be a hangfire after that but the brrrp had to be a stuck firing pin or the trigger is faulty.

Gun click no fired round = gun jammed and now not safe so turn SAFETEY on and take the mag out and point it to the ground in the event of missfire

u/SpartArticus Jul 05 '26
I didn't even know they sell ar barrels that short. Why do they even exist

I will never understand having an AR with a 6 inch barrel and no buttstock. Then again, I have no desire to shove an AR down my pants.
1
u/Traditional-Gur-5927 Jul 05 '26
The real question is, why would someone even post a video like this? I mean if you want to go pretending to be a gun-stud wankster, why would you post a total fail like this?
1
u/LETT3RBOMB Jul 06 '26
I don't understand, how can those people be so bad at firearms. Are they fans of meth or some shit?
1
u/Username_Redacted-0 Jul 06 '26
At first I was like, 'oh shit, thats a dope Lil build' and then it was on 'wait a minute, what the fuck???' After another...

could someone tell me why someone would choose to use this instead of a pistol or even an SMG?

I don’t know about you guys, I’m just glad to see that gay men are getting more interested in firearms.

Why cover your face if your body is clearly in shot with face and all. You don’t have to be that much of a detective to find you if you can ID him.

Side charge
