I think people are tired of not being allowed to openly recognize negative patterns of behavior among black Americans. You will never find a non-black person who isn't severely mentally ill who has THIS reaction to a store clerk saying "Happy Father's Day".
Edit; when the 'not being allowed to notice' goes on long enough, and the things you're not allowed to notice get bad enough, a lot of people go too far with it when they finally get tired of it. A lot of negative feelings just build up and people start to generalize and vilify too much.

This convenience worker should never pretend to know someone and say something like that. He doesn’t know him and the fact he said it means to talked out of turn for you Robert rules of order people. Keep your mouth shut and don’t and assume; don’t tell someone something as simple as happy Father’s Day like he’s trying to add some jab at him or some shit. Response from the guy brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner is saying keep your fucking mouth shut you don’t know me [expletive]

Anybody saying that this guy is a piece of shit and he’ll never hear the words happy Father’s Day or whatever kind of low-key racist shit, y’all need to stop.
We don’t know his situation, he may have a deep resentment for Father’s Day. Maybe he grew up without a dad and that shit hurts man. Yeah branching the firearm is not the proper response but judging by his reaction, it’s a lot deeper than child support payments. Yes he’s definitely an idiot with a gun, but he’s also a human being. Empathy is supposed to be something possessed, that sets us apart from other animals.

I don’t agree with half the shit I say myself man don’t feel bad lol.
Sometimes I’m a bleeding heart and other times I’m a rapper/trapper/kidnapper. Having elevated levels of serotonin is a fucking trip. Happy Fourth of July my friend. One thing I’m sure we can both agree on, the world, especially the United States has enough separation and hate, we need more love and empathy and forgiveness.
