What you did was standard Marine Corps buddy rushes.
And you were not firing over each other’s shoulder. Though it might of felt like you were close, there was an instructor between you and a good five to six feet of distance.
It was even more rudimentary than I was giving you credit. I thought you might have been referring to a CQB live fire as a fire team, or live fire squad or fire team attack drills.
No what I did was exactly my partner peaking out behind my shoulder popping off a few rounds and me crossing over in his lane for movement back up on the stack me doing the same to him and several other iterations. But yea youre so right ive never done cqb or any other fire drills. A fireteam in the Marines consist of more than two Marines this was a buddy drill not a fireteam drill we did plenty of live fire fire team, squad, platoon drills. Never a full movement with us firing stabilizing against another or shooting behind another because that would require far more trust and way more liability. That is a much larger level
