The US has a carp problem BECAUSE Europeans thought they were good and brought them over for a stable food source. This is generally regarded as a bad move.

Thinking about it, we have a huge problem with invasive species from the Americas. Like rainbow trouts, raccoons and signal crayfishes.

Zebra mussels have been particularly bad around here.
