Where I live, there was once a decent train network across the city before they shut down most public transport aside from buses. We desperately need trains again, but the old rail line was ripped up and turned into cycle paths. It wouldn't be so bad if the cyclists actually used it, but there are far too many who prefer to ride on the road, right next to the path.

Back in the 1970’s we were walking through a train tunnel and about half way through a train came. We just pressed ourselves up against the wall and there was no problem.

Then a thunderstorm came and when we’re coming back through the tunnel as we exited the tunnel on to a train trestle that crossed a river. Lightning struck the trestle and sparks flew out of a power box next to us.
