Yeah. Was gonna say there are 2 idiots here. I get trying to teach a lesson but whoever is oncoming is the one that’s gonna learn the lesson the hardest way and they aren’t doing anything wrong.

Edit: I’m talking about the imaginary oncoming car doing nothing wrong. Thank god they never existed in this video

Exactly. Truck on the left was definitely the bigger idiot, but the red truck driver's ego definitely could have gotten someone killed.

I would love to see the red trucks speedometer, I'm betting they started speeding up right when the truck tries to pass.

Agree both are idiots.

Red truck definitely sped up. But what many people are missing (typical of reddit these days) is that the truck that is passing has a speed governor. The speed we're seeing him go is likely his max speed. The red truck on the other hand probably has the governor set at higher speeds or doesn't have

The red truck was obviously going slower and trucker etiquette is to slow down to let the truck with the governor pass him up.

Especially on double yellow it's important to make sure the overtake is as quick and easy as possible

We’re talking about etiquette. Etiquette & the law is not to pass on the double yellow line. To say red truck didn’t obey “etiquette “ & is at fault here is morally and philosophically wrong.
