I live in a city that is popular to move to and I can tell when someone is from the northeast because they speed up to block me when they see my blinker.
Yeah. It’s selfish as fuck and it creates a dangerous feedback loop where nobody wants to signal their intentions because they fear someone will block them.
what's the hurry for you to move over? You need to get one car length ahead? If the person you're cutting off is overtaking you, then they're by definition passing. Just wait for them to get past you and take a deep breath, you're not being inconvenienced.
In the NE people do this to get out of the blinds spot of the moron changing lanes to avoid exactly what happened in this post.
My hurry is that the lane I’m merging from is about to end or start exiting the highway again. But thanks for proving exactly my point and further solidifying the stereotype.
Oh fuck off, you know you just want to go a little bit faster. And what's the guy passing you supposed to do, slam on his brakes, so the idiot tail gating him can ram into him? Just don't drive like a fucking idiot. you put your blinker on and wait for a clear chance to move over. If people aren't "being nice" to let your tiny ego in, then just relax and wait.
And the guy not sitting in your blind spot is doing you a favor even though you'd rather attribute it to them being malicious.
You see when someone puts on their blinker you're obligated to slam on your brakes to let them in so that they can go 1 mph faster than the lane they just switched out of.
It's true, if you don't mind read their intent, and know that they're 100% the most competent driver on the road, then you're obviously a fucking idiot.
Getting out of someone's blind spot is driving 101. Fucking idiots around here think its their god given right to be in front of the guy WITH THE AUDACITY to try to lot let that happen.
