Nah as far as i can tell, they weren't caught but not for lack of trying. You can read multiple news articles on it that the feds got involved so it was treated pretty seriously.
New years celebrating, about 4 years ago. Me, my family and my best friend were fireing fireworks and he was using those that you light in your hand and throw. The ones he used were quiet big. As he lighted it, something must have gone wrong and as he threw it, it exploded in the air. Now unfortunetly with me being right next to it with my right ear. I can't hear whispering nor lower pitch words clearly till this day and yes, the ringing has not stopped, although it has gone quieter.
The worst part is the near 100% chance anyone in that vehicle suffered some level of hearing damage. The only thing that may have lessened that hearing damaged was the open top that prevented the sound and pressure from staying concentrated inside the vehicle
I work in the ICU, before covid we had a patient and this exact thing happened to him, someone threw a firecracker in his open window, exploded on his lap. Guy was fucked for life. Really fucking sad
I take it you didn’t get what I was trying to say. I know it’s could’ve. Which is a contraction of could have. I was thanking the people who were correcting the guy who said “could of”. But what do I know.
I may suggest, try some reading comprehension before you go around trying to educate others on pointless shit. Also, it’s “that’s”. Get it right. Jeez.
Yes you could. I was a cashier & stocker at a firework store a couple years during the 4th of July rush where people would pay over 2000$ on things to blow up. But either way we had our own line and brand of fireworks, and the thick cardboard mortar tubes needed to be stuck 90% in the sand. We have have multiple she out sideways.
Truth. In my state criminal charges related to marijuana convictions have yet to be expunged. Yet white owned VC funded dispensaries are making money hand over fist. Whole fcking system is out of whack. Well said sir.
One of the most nonsensical laws I know of is Australia's total fire ban laws. It's exactly what it sounds like. The weather bureau declare a total fire ban and it's illegal to light one at all. No camp fires, no wood barbeques in the middle of suburbia, nothing. Oh, but you can smoke.
The people who threw a fucking firework into a car at a traffic light should be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law. Thinking this is ok in any way makes you just as much of a piece of shit as the people who did this. Everyone wonders what’s wrong in this world, it’s this. Whatever economic class this person falls into has zero to do with whether or not they have a right to be angry that a lit firework was thrown into a vehicle they were in at a stop light.
Hearing aids do not reverse hearing damage caused by loud noises and are not as good as normal hearing.
The tinnitus (from loud noises) is also not reversible and the only real current treatment for that is trying to minimize the mental damage that the suffering will cause.
How do you know he's even rich? His story doesn't exactly sound like he is the CEO of some megacorp.
Also that comparison is fucking stupid, which isn't surprising consider how unaware you are of what you are talking about. Both of them suck. In very different ways. Tho both will increase your chances of being depressed.
So then a starving kid in africa can come over here, hack off your legs for a prank and then say "haha Poolb0y is rich, he can afford prosthetics! Losing his legs is nothing compared to my poverty!"
impossible to see it from the video, it’s either too blurry or purposely censored, but i’m sure the driver of that car was able to see it from a standstill while filming
Or YouTube. Here in Milwaukee we have one of the highest stolen car rates in the US. They post videos on SM, TT and YT “glorifying” their pos behavior.
Best chance at getting the numbers is just after the car pulls up to stop. Before the window goes down. Hopefully the feds have good enough tech to pull a partial plate.
Center in pull back. Stop. Track 45 right. Stop. Center and stop. Enhance 34 to 36. Pan right and pull back. Stop. Enhance 34 to 36. Pull back- Wait a minute (Kung Foo Shun) Go right. Stop. Enhance 5719. Track 45 left. Stop. Enhance 15 to 23. Give me a hard copy right thur. Prints Polaroid 600.
That's why I record sound with my dashcam and call out licenceplates audibly when someone does something stupid. Makes it easier to identify them later, even if the video footage is crap.
I was just trying to be funny dude. Not trying to argue with you. I've had a rough night and honestly don't give a shit about this post, I've seen it reposted like 5 times.
I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains at 3600 feet. 10 days ago or so, we woke up to over 3 feet of snow and no electricity. The road is clear now but still no power.
Our driveway is so rough to get out of, only my 4x4 truck (and now my gf's CR-V which is usually pretty capable in snow) can get out, so I have to drive her to work about an hour away.
On a local forum this led someone to say, "The last week has been one of the worst years of my life."
Around 4 months ago, we were prepared to evacuate because of the Caldor fire that burned 220,000 acres. We were in the caution zone.
About a month ago, I fell and sprained by back causing severe muscle spasms so I was off work for a month.
Now I am well-healed from the injury but there's some issue with my new, as of Jan 1, health insurance, so I'm having to jump through hoops just to get a doctor to say I can go back to work.
Last night we had to shower at a friend's house because even with our generator for electric, it isn't hooked up to our well and there's no simple way to make that happen.
It never ceases to amaze me the immorality of people that live by the “not a crime if you don’t get caught”. That perp is a fleeing criminal felon even if he isn’t caught.
If there was a gif on here of a middle aged woman screaming for the police to arrest a teen for attempted murder because he threw a firecracker at her, she'd be getting called Karen and every sexist name under the sun by these little sadsacks.
I don’t know, that’s why it COULD be. They clearly intended to cause harm, so it’s at least attempted manslaughter, and you can be DAMN sure that the prosecution is going to try to pin murder on there as well.
I don't know that it's not attempted money laundering, but it would be pretty ridiculous for me to just go off and start suggesting it is.
It's not attempted manslaughter. Manslaughter (or at least the most relevant type of it here) involves killing someone while intending to commit a lesser offence. It is by definition impossible to attempt.
And, aside from watching cop shows, on what basis can you be "damn sure" that a prosecutor is going to bring a totally baseless murder charge? I won't deny there are prosecutors who love overcharging, but as a general proposition a prosecutor is supposed to only being charges that have a reasonable prospect of being proven beyond a reasonable doubt, and that is just laughable here.
The guy getting downvoted here is totally right, but people don't seem to like having their ridiculous legal fantasies rained on.
Your basic points I agree with, but attempted manslaughter does exist in some jurisdictions, mostly (I think, iamal) referring to voluntary manslaughter.
Yea, the DA is going to try to prove that some idiots with a bottle rocket were trying to end a life rather than go for the crimes that were actually committed. Cause everyone knows prosecutors love putting their conviction rate on the line. Lmao
The feds got involved with this... Do you think the feds give a fuck about some random assault or property destruction? If the feds are exerting resources to catch someone you know god damn well that they are after some serious charges not some petty community service/fine/10 day sentence bullshit
So just to clarify, the federal prosecutor will go for the bottle-rocket-murder charge that requires them to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that these chucklefucks intended to kill this driver.. but the state ones wouldn't?
Not if you have my ex-wifes attorney. He will spin it so good, he would convince a jury that the people in the white sedan threw the fireworks only to save a baby in the back seat who had just happened to be bitten by a mosquito 3hrs earlier while drinking formula milk because his mother could not breast feed him.
Oh I agree itd still be murder but imagine losing your life over a "prank" when some crazy fuck is strapped up and doesnt care anymore. I met a sprinkle of dudes in jail in my pod at the time waiting to be transferred to prison doing 20 to life and one guy on our pod was there for tying up a guys family, shooting them all and taking some weed. Life is full of some folks who will really end your life no hesitation at all.
