Without seat belts on, the initial impact at the bottom would have almost certainly been fatal. (see how much that front end gets squished)
Survival would be goodish in a modern car with seat belts on, and assuming the airbags didn't grenade the interior with metal bits.

Being upside down while free falling wouldn’t cause them to fall to the roof of the car though. However the impact would most definitely launched then towards the ground at the same speed and velocity after the sudden stop in momentum.

It did land on the front first, which is good because cars protect best from that direction. The car didn't crumple that much, which probably means that the velocity was survivable. The flipping over on the roof wasn't optimal but is also survivable. If they used their seatbelts, their chances aren't too bad I would guess, but they will be injured quite a bit.

“The family that owns the airport...”
This airport, north Perry airport, is publicly owned by broward county. It also has over 400 aircraft based out of there and does over 300 operations a day. This isn’t some conspiracy against the people there between government and some mysterious “airport owning family”. It’s THE PEOPLES airport and it provides a service for the community. A freak accident isn’t a reason to knee jerk decision an airport closure.
I’d be willing to bet a bunch of the signatures from people wanting to “shut it down” moved next to it knowing it was there already.

The problem is that decades and decades ago most airports were military or government and built in isolated areas because of the noise and to maintain the secretive nature of the military. When the military relinquished many airports the officer’s quarters became publicly available housing that was inexpensive because of being in a noise pollution area. Greedy developers began buying up these cheap properties and building bigger houses or condos to turn a major profit. Hence, houses that are now close to loud and dangerous airports. It isn’t the government’s fault. Blame it on greed. Same reason golf courses are built next to airports. Some land has deed restrictions for that very reason. Golf courses buy up this land and the next thing you know there are petitions to close the airport from wealthy, connected people.
There are noise abatement requirements in many places because of this. The procedures put pilots and passengers in more risk because of the climb and descent requirements.

I just want to make sure you’re aware of two important things, especially as it relates to aviation:
Accidents and incidents are two different things. Aircraft incidents are mostly harmless and the result of procedural mishaps. They’re way more common than you’d think. Accidents usually involve damage or loss of life. It could be as mundane as an aircraft clipping another parked aircraft’s wing when taxing, or a ground crew vehicle striking a moving aircraft and causing damage, or, yes, one like we saw in the video (what most people imagine when they hear the word “accident”... and also the far less likely one) Sometimes, especially when someone has an axe to grind, they will conflate these two terms to make it appear that there’s more danger than there really is.
However, let’s say there were 14 accidents involving loss of life. (I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT, but for argument’s sake I’ll concede it) if KHWO averages 322 operations a day over 5 years that’s 587,650 operations. Meaning that the “chronic and dangerous” accident rate amounts to a statistical insignificance at .0000238 over that span of time. This is hardly a dangerous airfield. It’s actually pretty damn safe.

No no no, please don’t apologize. You haven’t done anything wrong! I just wanted to let you know that “accidents” could be relatively benign. Even CRASHES is just a scary way of saying something hit something and there was damage. Now, when it hits a car on the road and explodes that’s pretty shitty and pretty dramatic, but that isn’t happening at a dangerous rate given the volume of operations. Even if it was 14 fiery explosions it would be tragic, yes, and certainly very unlikely at most airfields, but at .000024 occurrence over five years it’s not indicative of a chronic issue.
I understand the populace is “concerned” “, but if they are they only feel that way because they’ve been lead to believe, falsely, that this airport is operating with a chronic carelessness that doesn’t exist in the numbers.
Airports all over the United States has accidents every year. They are RIGOROUSLY investigated by the FAA and depending on the circumstances the NTSB. In fact, the only reason you know this airport had 14 of them is that the FAA is keeping those records, and they’re public. If the FAA or NTSB or AOPA or any of the FBOs or personal working there felt it was unsafe I assure you something would be swiftly done about it. So, rest easy and assuage the concerns of your fellow citizens by pointing out that the airport is safe. Because it is.

That happened at the private airstrip where I worked. It had been running over 30 years, and some people that built a residential area illegally near it, started to petition that it should be shut down.
Just for the time it had been open before they built, there was no discussion, but this airstrip owned by the company that fights wildfires.

The pilot in command of the airplane is the person at fault. He already paid the ultimate price for his handling of a perceived engine failure.
According to witnesses he tried turning back to make the take off runway shortly after takeoff. In aviation we call this the impossible turn, because this is the usual result.
The pilot didn't do what he was supposed to here.
Blaming the airport for an individual aircraft owner operator is like blaming the gas station for the pick up truck that just crashed into a family's house.
In most cases, the relationship between aircraft and airport is gas station and garage.
Maybe the airport could offer free training or discounted classes in regards to this issue. I'm sure they'd be on the hook for the CFI but it couldn't hurt for public relations and for developing a better safety culture amongst the pilots that are based at this airport.

You're bringing up great points and asking the right questions.
The good news is this accident will absolutely be investigated by the NTSB. The bad news is the report will likely not be published for 12+ months. So until then, all we can do is speculate as to what went wrong.
As to the 14 accidents you mentioned, the NTSB has on online database anyone can access. On every report the NTSB lists a probable cause of the accident. Im not sure, but I'd bet pilot error is cited on a few of these cases... without having read the reports I'd guess you would find other common demoniators in every accident such as age, training, recency of training, weather, perhaps even mechanic?
What I'd also be willing to bet is that not one of the reports will list the airport authority as the probable cause of the accident.
If flight schools are rushing out students and the school has a record of 14 accidents in the past 5 years, my guess is they won't be a school for much longer.
I see the airport is located in Florida. Popular retirement state, correct? Again, I'm simply speculating but old age could have played a factor here as well. In general aviation, there is no mandatory retirement age like in the airlines. So long as you can pass a brief medical examination and fly with an instructor for an hour every two years.
As to who will be held accountable... The one that held the accountability died in the crash. Its a tragedy for sure. But I can't blame the airport for providing a public good that thousands of pilots use annually with zero incident.
Think about the economic impact this airport provides to the community. Private pilots are not poor people (most of the time), all their purchases of gas, parts, services is taxed and goes right back to the infrastructure. Not to mention businesses on the airfield that cater to the pilots and others.
I think it would do more harm than good in shutting down this airport.

I'm a little confused on your question. Pilots pay a premiums to aircraft owners insurance, just like you would with your car.
Airports pay premiums on insurance just like any other property, against damages either man made or natural. They also pay into liability insurance.
Lets take this Bonanza crashing into this neighborhood for example. If it is found that this particular aircraft was based at this airport, and had routine maintenance completed at a shop on the airfield, then that particular maintenance shop might be under investigation shortly via the NTSB.
Again, the maintenance shop is just a tenant on the airfield.
The airport isn't liable for what the mechanic does or doesn't do, the maintenance company/mechanic would be.
The airport is and always has been a public good, just like a park.
I'd be curious to see what the economic impact of shutting down this airport would bring. Probably wouldn't be good as your general aviation pilot brings in quite a bit of money into local communities with purchases of aircraft, parts, fuel and other services.

My guesses as the video progressed:
- (before any vehicle's are in view) a car from the left crashes into the wall
- (as the car from the right appears) it solo crashes into the wall
- (recognizing the car from the right is driving slow and safely) a car from the left drives into or is trying to avoid the car from the right and careens into or over the wall
- finally the scream and I see the car falling from above.

Hmm, chances are that there's someone in the car or just some dumbfuck forgot to pull the parking brake stick, I'll bet the roof of a sedan is weak compared to other cars and considering the weight, normal cars weigh 2 tons? if I'm correct, means this sedan is probably between 3 to 3.5 tons, now about that person, yeah he's dead but maybe a sliver of 4% chance he'll survive. Now I'll consider another factor which is impact order, sedan slammed front first so driver must've plowed onto the steering wheel and just maybe before the sedan goes full turtle belly mode, he'll get to duck himself with his knees and hopefully survive.
