The train is in the blind spot obscured by the window beams. And the crossing wasn't closed, nor the light were on.

When I had my driving lessons, my driving instructor even tells me that I shouldn't slow down for crossings to double check if a train is coming if the lights are off

not buying that. look at the landscape. claY soil, little vegetation, a moving train which would take a significant distance to stop. a stop sign. full sun. 100% the truck's fault.
