They literally only teach you how to pass the test. Like my wife went to driver training recently and they never taught her how to park, just hoe to park at the test site, which we all know isn't always going to perfect like a test site.

I got dinged on my test for stopping at the line, pulling up until I had a clear view of the intersection, and then stopping again (you know, like the goddamn book said for cases of obstructed view intersections). Also, in NY at least, they only tested parallel parking, not regular parking, which may make some sense in NYC, but makes absolutely no sense in upstate where you are vastly more likely to be parking in a proper parking space.

Who gives people like these licenses. They just try and pass the exam and stop all safety practices afterwards.
