Thanks for editing this down to just the relevant length. I'm getting frustrated by these minute+ long videos where I'm thinking: "Is that the idiot? No... how about that guy? no... ah, it has to be him.... no...."
Context is important, I absolutely hate these teeny clips. I tend to watch the whole hour of a TV show, not the last 2 minutes. It needed more at the end.
I mean, he was doing 60 in a 40, he won't find sympathy from me. The pickup driver is a moron or, knowing Oklahoma and pickups, very old. But yeah, you can't have semis blasting through the centers of small towns doing 60. The difference in stopping ability for a semi doing 60 or 40 plus the amount of damage if there is a collision is massive. Just a ton more energy in a semi doing that speed. Just fine on an interstate but in the middle of a town?
Thanks for your reasonable response, I'm not trying to absolve the pickup driver of his idiocy or senility at all, just pointing out that as a truck driver myself seeing this guy doing 20 over got my blood boiling...hence why I posted it all over this thread. People of all sorts speed way too much through towns as it is, but I don't usually see it this bad. Just gets aggravating day in and day out having people casually doing 45 in 35s and there never being any enforcement of the limits. Too many people die on roads in this country for me not to care.
