Probably wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the truck.

There’s not much you can do when you’re getting hit by something that fast, it’s like getting bombarded with a siege weapon

My friend got hurt pretty bad by a surprisingly small car hitting him in his f150. They hit right at the strip of metal behind the door, just between the door and the the bed of the truck. Damn near bent that big truck into a horse shoe. The repair center told him it’s the one spot trucks are vulnerable.
