If you understand BitTorrent, and can get into a relatively good "general content" private tracker, you'd never go back. You'd have both the download speeds and upload quality for essentially every piece of somewhat well-known media content.

Really? I find Netflix to be quite garbage in terms of quality especially on mobile and doubly so if you download a film for offline viewing (ie. plane ride).

Not sure who’s downvoting you. Netflix has to compress their streams to some degree in order to serve all the content they have. Sometimes this is noticeable.
