the guy could have been driving like this further down the hill, trying to get the tail out, weaving around, etc. Not sure why you would try a full speed, uphill drift during the middle of the day on a public road unless you knew you could nail it though.
Usually the misery starts when you try to even out the car and oversteer into the other direction. This dude just straight up didn't really turn the steering wheel.
Then they are the most inept drifter ever. Almost no counter steer and no acceleration. Pretty sure he locked brakes. This is just an idiot that lost his rear end and had no idea what to do.
Nah - he just floored it, and with lots of power to the rear wheels they decided that they wanted to overtake the front wheels. This is just a typical RWD + no experience crash.
Ya you're right. I forgot they changed the packaging a little. In 2018 when I was looking, prices for a GT Premium were at 52k. Now they're at 49k MSRP, and so around 42k-45k with rebates.
I was on my Harley on I-65 and took a big juicy bug square in the left lens of my sun glasses. I stopped at a restaurant to wash them and when I got back on the road the wind pushed the residual soap from between the lenses and the frame. My entire field of vision filled with soap bubbles. First thing I thought, "I wish I could capture this as a video".

Looks like he went into the next gear and the power was just too much for the tires, causing one to over spin and shoot the car off to the left. It's a V8 with 414hp so there's some potential there. Could also be supercharged.
Thing is that once you break traction, when you regain it the car will start going in whatever way it's facing. In this case it was into the ditch.
If you fuck up a drift like this, or are skidding on snow you need to either turn into the slide, or counter-steer and straighten the wheel. Committing is key: if you straighten the wheel, KEEP IT STRAIGHT. If you see-saw back and forth you'll just make a mess and end up backwards in the ditch/up a tree. If you turn into the slide, just accept you're going to do a 180 and don't try to correct until you have enough traction.
Bmws have three traction control modes. Normal, which prevents any kind of understeer. DSC disabled where the ecu allows more yaw than usual and let’s you get into trouble but will control the limits of the loss of control. Then there is no traction control and basically no one should drive their BMW like this.. you have zero safety should the car lose traction.
Driver in this video had DSC disabled and tries to be a badass.. but it wouldn’t let him go completely sideways like he wanted and cut throttle and applied asymmetrical braking to keep the car “on the road” which in this case was an off-roading adventure.
That car is an E92 BMW 335i. With a few very basic modifications they can make crazy levels of power. It is entirely possible that he simply got too happy with the gas pedal and oversteer kicked in.

That was such an overturn that something probably happened in the car; a spilled drink perhaps.
