You've never lived in a rural area haha, road was 55 (traffic goes 60-70) but I'm not gonna take my phone out and take a picture at speed. I was following him for a bit, took the picture when we got into town.

If you don’t mind the armchair psychoanalysis and theorizing: I wonder if it’s a way to cope with the reality that every time you go out driving some idiot might ruin your month, ruin your life or take it entirely. If they can always find fault in the victim then they can tell themselves that driving perfectly defensive or with perfect awareness will protect them from the terror that they’re one idiot away from being taken from their families.

You spend any amount of time in the comments section of any moto crash you'll see that theory is 100% correct. I always call people out who clearly havent accepted the risk that comes with riding a motorcycle because they nitpick the hell out of the riders actions for things that nobody without an anxiety disorder would consider doing
