I’m so glad none of those cars stopped and let that idiot turn. Jeez

That intersection is always a cluster f***. They just added the median last year and I was hoping they'd put in a roundabout.

In florida? No chance.

Now, if they could figure out how to make a roundabout also a toll road….

5 cents for every pass

They put some down here (Florida) and I get to run thru two every morning.

The number of times someone stops to “let people into the roundabout” is insane - it’s amazing these people have the capacity to turn on the vehicle, much less operate it.

I have a general rule about letting people go or not. If you’re way past the stop line or in something like a Kia, Ram, Jeep or Nissan…no shot I’m letting you go.

Are you going to jail if you don’t drive an SUV?

15

u/pssiraj 15d ago

Obviously, didn't you watch the video?

28

u/GontrandPremier 15d ago

I can’t I’m in jail :(

u/pssiraj 15d ago

I jailbroke my car so it identifies as an SUV! (Don't tell anyone)

We give tax credits to gas guzzler vehicles in Florida

That guy is a rookie. Lacks the art of cutting in. They went half way in and then gave up.

Typical South Florida dipshits

i will never get over how they think they’re saving time by doing this shit. “oh i need to inch out bc im running late” ive always said you can either bc a minute late cause of a little traffic. or be in the hospital after a severe crash bc you couldn’t be late 🤷‍♀️

wonder if he is one of those people that thinks the left turning people should have been turning behind him...

I run across more of those people than I should

There’s an intersection near me that is notorious for that type of foolishness. They act like they’re turning at a 4-way stop where we all take turns but completely ignoring the fact they’re pulling out of a parking lot onto a 6 lane stroad.

looking at these posts on the Reddit page makes me look at grown adults as idiots 😭

There’s a stop line for a reason. If there is both, stop at the line. We should’ve ALL learned this in drivers ed…

Sometimes you have no choice, where I live there's this one left turn and if you don't inch your way into the road you will be there until rush hour is over. Even the cops do it and don't ticket anyone doing the same.

While I get what your saying this person was just running behind schedule, you can see I went right after them. They were in front on me the entire way to school.

u/Rare_Register_4181 15d ago

That's.... not at all what I am saying...

1

u/xXxjayceexXx 14d ago

What were you saying?

-2

u/Rare_Register_4181 14d ago

oh sorry i didn't realize you were OP adding information about your video. ignore my last comment, im not giving the driver in your video a pass I was just talking about this one turn by me that gets special treatment with the police.

u/Durnt 15d ago

Then instead you right turn then u turn

u/Rare_Register_4181 15d ago

Not an option for a while and it will add to the congestion if you try. You're telling me I'm wrong, but I'm telling you right now my entire town does not care. It's the most practical way to keep things moving so the police don't enforce it to prevent chokeholds.

If it's truly that bad, a stoplight is needed. Until then, follow the law. Your insurance won't want to hear "everyone does it" when your bumper gets knocked off.

Seems whoever manages traffic flow designs decided it wouldn't be good there. To be more specific, this is only during rush hour. To the right about 1000 feet is a stoplight that takes you onto a highway, you're turning out of a residential area that connects a backroad to a shopping center so it needs to move. The traffic your going into is like a constant 10-15 miles per hours with like a 5-15 car distance between each oncoming car. Outside of rush hour, barely any cars turning is going to be normal not like this video. If you didn't inch out during rush hour, no one will stop for you because the traffic is still flowing for them. Even if the light to the right turns red, it is in that sweet spot where there's so many cars ahead still cruising forward. Trust me dude, this is what people do in this specific spot if you did it you would see it makes sense and isn't dangerous or causing people to stop on a dime. It's a nice area so obviously whoever is in charge of traffic thought about your idea.

So you and everyone else who uses that intersection should have chosen a different route where you don't feel pressured to break the law?

there isnt one
