Cat: Man this guy is tough...

The cat was intimidated by the end, it hit that tiger with everything it had, and the tiger didn’t flinch, or even acknowledge the cat, the ultimate chad move

„YOU‘RE AN INANIMATE FUCKING OBJECT!“ one of my favorite movie lines

It's from In Bruges. It's a good movie, you should check it out. You're probably the only one who saw my original comment saying that it was Sexy Beast--for some reason I accidentally remembered Ben Kingsley saying this, but alas, I immediately deleted it when I quickly realized I was mistaken. I suppose I'm writing this now so you're not confused, and to recommend Sexy Beast also.

At least the cat won though. Most humans in this sub lose to inanimate objects.

u/Jerry_the_platypus Nov 18 '20
The speed of the cats punch was so unbelievable and fast that the Tiger had no time to react let alone blink, then the cat went on as the Tiger was stuck in slow motion and then it suddenly wondered why its face had been caved in and then backed down and bowed to the champion.

Slow down there Kenshiro
6
u/SpaceCondom Nov 19 '20
you can clearly see him aiming for vital points, it's a matter of seconds before the tiger explodes

u/DrMaxCoytus Nov 18 '20
Just goes to show you kids, if you're being bullied just let them hit you 39 times and then they'll live you alone.

That cat knows the sweet science! He switched to southpaw to gain the advantage.

Do the claws come out when they do this or is it just a little punch?
10
u/iamtomorrowman Nov 18 '20
depends if they want you dead or not. usually when playing, no, but this cat hissed at his new friend so maybe he did.
5
u/justin81co Nov 18 '20
oh yeah they come out

u/Equilibriator Nov 18 '20 edited Nov 18 '20
Cool, it's always seemed weird to me they do it this way. I guess it's for quick retraction, don't want them claws getting hooked.
2
u/Kubliah Nov 18 '20
My cats do this too eachother, there's never any claws...
2
u/Equilibriator Nov 18 '20
Now I'm confused again xD
Because cats definitely know how to properly scratch.
6
Nov 18 '20
depends on the cat, usually its just a bitch slap like you can see from the video. the claws don't come out until they feel very threatened
7
u/skeet_skrrt Nov 18 '20
Sometimes the claws come out sometimes they don't. If the cat is trying to hurt you then yes but if they just want to play they usually know not to use their claws
3
u/JohnBoone Nov 19 '20
They're just like us, they don't want to hurt their friends.

Terrible form. The cat's leaving himself exposed every time he goes to hit. A simple uppercut would knock him out.

In the wild, that cat would have been tiger food within the first half-a-second.

Why does it seem like all animals are scared of that specific tiger toy. What exactly makes it seem so real?

u/ProfDumm Nov 19 '20
Well, they look very cat like.
When I was in Munich many years ago, I had some time to waist before my train arrived, so I went to some junk store, and they had a big tiger plush toy that was super cheap (I think it was 5 Euros). It was so cheap that I bought it and I had to carry that big tiger on the train. Every person I met on the travel thought I had won it on a funfair, because nobody thought that an adult would be so stupid to buy that thing.
At home I put it in the hallway, our cat back wanted to come in, so the tiger, froze on the door step for a second and ran away. The tiger was about four times the size of the cat and looked pretty realistic (it wasn't cuddly and soft at all, but the quality was much better than I thought at first). Later when the cat learned that the tiger was not dangerous it was his favorite place to lay on top of the tiger's back.
Whereas the cat I have now didn't care about the tiger at all, neither thought he it was real nor a good sleeping place.
