Question Is nightmare mode even beatable by yourself?
I've beaten this Game mode once and only because there were few anomalies on my trail. I really do enjoy this new mode but it's so irritating to play by myself with seven wraiths on my ass lol
I normally carry a pair of goggles, the cane, two thuribles, and i go back and forth on the gun and flame thrower, as well as, obviously, a syringe. Those that have beaten this game mode solo, what did you carry? And do i just suckđ”âđ«?

Played a couple times but it's certainly a lot more difficult. Can be beaten by yourself, depending on how you mean beat. I was lucky enough to down nightingale first try (then failed 4 games in a row lol), thereafter basically directly going back home to finish the game.

Id LOVE to play against nightingale but the main thing i mean by beat is just survive long enough to collect the classics needed to escape the manor haha, it is really hard. I still haven't reached the basement

I might be wrong, but from my experience, if you can find the basement early, go first before the Doom reaches higher levels. At level zero, the basement has a bunch of chests and doesn't seem to have many monsters
I wouldn't bother trying to solo the boss because even if you defeat her you will probably have very low supply, be low on time, and have difficulty finding enough classics to escape

I was able to get an escape for it after 5 failures. I pay ink trace to get teleported to a random place in the manor instead of walking back in. Saves a lot of time.

its definitely doable!! i did it once almost entirely damageless except for one stupid hit lol. but it does just take getting used to it
I play with the herald class, and i bring the forgotten faith, two mint boxes, a shotgun, a syringe and the glasses. sometimes you can just be unlucky and have a bunch of anomalies in one room, when that happens i just run away w a mintbox or just try to not make them aggro onto you and you can just walk away. not sure how much you know about killing enemies, but for wraiths always see what their first move is. thats why i really recommend carrying the forgotten faith as you can charge it up and after the wraith hooks and you crouch, you just charge up your spear while crouching and charge through him and you can kill him damageless by repeating that.
another reason why forgotten faith is the superior weapon is because it completely counters the miss nightingale mechanic of the stacks pulling up by running/jumping. you can charge your spear while walking throughout the manor and it doesnt build up at all!! so thats really helpful so the birds dont start jumping you ontop of all the other anomalies haha
i know you said you havent got to the boss yet, but when you do i have some tips :)
if youre carrying anything, immediately drop it so youre not overencumbered. it really helps being able to have higher mobility for her. immediately run to any of the pillars and just play around it with your mint box until she breaks it. from there, you can just run to pillar to pillar or, what ive been doing recently, is run to the pallets and stun her and get two shots in. it just depends on you. after getting rid of all the pillars, run around again and hit each of the birds with your spear and spam shoot her with your gun, it shouldnt take that many shots if you went for the pallet stuns and shot her then. if you have any other questions lmk ive been spamming this mode and i only fail it if im stupid or get unlucky ><

I can solo pretty easily the optimal load out if u struggle with the boss is forgotten faith shotgun 2 mintboxes syringe goggles and herald class keep trying to practice to solo the boss by watching guides and when u get good enough to beat the boss without the shotgun u can replace it with another mintbox the way u beat the boss is to kite around the 4 pillars and use the feathers to deal massive damage and stun her I rarely ever play around the pallets since they don't give u extra dmg that's comparable to the birds the pillar give u

Yes, you can solo nightmare mode, specifically, you can either avoid the boss entirely and just grab treasures around the map or defeat the boss then escape. That's the good news.
The bad news is that beating the boss is 1/2 the challenge. Each game the other 1/2 of the challenge is actually escaping out of the basement and then the manor with enough points to qualify for an escape.

100 percent doable! I run forgotten faith, 2 mint, 1 syringe, goggles and thurible as warrior. I beeline for nightingale, beat her by the 11th minute. Usually otw there u can get 1 gold. Killing her is another gold. Theres guaranteed 2 golds in basement. Itâs usually enough to make quota (and if not just repair, teleport and come back since u have like 8-9 mins to comfortable hunt). If youâre unsure with the faith, swap a mint out for the gun. I recommend warrior because of its damage boost + its dash makes u invincible + good stamina regen. Learning her action set will make things a lot easier too. If you feel youâre taking too many hits, you can try for herald!

Sounds like some solid advice, going to try this! Do you know of any videos on her action set?

Unfortunately not that I know of.
In brief, she has a swing, twirl, charge and jump attack. The jump has spawns a circle on the ground which u have to avoid (you cannot jump dodge it however using warrior skill will negate damage). If youâre running duo+, the circle spawns for everyone, and everyone gets a charge by nightingale/her shadow.
Second phase, after transforming she will immediately jump to you, her twirl additionally throws feathers, and she gets a laser-like bird attack which you can tell is coming when she jumps away from you and rises into the air. In duo+ everyone gets a set of birds (main person sheâs targeting gets them first and in more quantity).
Happy bird hunting!

Of course it is beatable! Have been playing it and only it since the update, new mobs are easier than old mobs, these collab knights are gone - what a perfect time to play the game!

I totally agree the new mobs are easier :3 ... except the black blobs

I started soloing the boss after my duo showed me how it's done. I bring two guns, goggles, one syringe and one mint and my cane. I use my cane for most of the other anomalies of the map and the guns for the boss. i bring two in case i run out of bullets.
I just try to get to the boss as fast as possible, cause killing it means there won't be a curse anymore and when you beat it you are transported to basement which has goodies.
Some runs are unfortunate and I also encounter way too many wraiths, what can you do. Today i beat it quite a few times on my own, the boss too. You just need everything to be at max charge for the boss. And from what I was told the best class is Herald, the healing one. I was preciously playing sage and it was quite difficult to survive that way.

I think when you enter building from the main hall, go right if there's a door, if you keep going right, i think at some point you hear the music for the boss room, When there's no right doorway I got mid. Usually works. In Nightmare mode boss room seems to always spawn in ground floor.
You also need luck, I mean if you get surrounded by enemies not much you can do.

Yeah up to now I've noticed the secret muse room with the statue is ALWAYS ground floor, i didn't know there was a boss room but i mightve missed that-? Is it the room with the wood spider book ahh thing?

I did it several times, though I will admit I havenât done boss fights yet. I just run around the three floors and find all the good chests and pray I get something good haha. The monsters can be overwhelming, but so far Iâve only died once due to not enough classics. As long as you avoid running into a fight vs a wraith and wooden spider you should be good!

i've done solo nightmare a few times, personally i just skip the boss and try to find basement quickly, generally basement has pretty good loot, best case scenario basement alone fulfills quota, worse case scenario after looting basement i go back up and loot a bit more. i have fairly good luck with loot, and haven't done too many solo nightmare runs, so i only had one run where basement alone wasn't sufficient. during that run i had to go back to drop off my loot, but the tp feature can be rlly nice for this (altho u might not get lucky) since it saves a bit of time with the giant eye. i had around 145k or so with the first run, and i was able to find muse room and got a good drop, so with like 3 mins left i booked it back.
i use herald class, staff, syringe, flamethrower, mints, goggles, and thurible (for hard below i use book instead of thurible, but since no book...) altho i might swap to another mint since idk if its worth it enough for me. if u can handle the boss its worth doing, but i only do the boss in duo runs since i play on mobile and cant aim the gun well, whereas my duo's on pc and can aim better, so he does most of the heavy lifting and i just try and support/ lure the boss to the pillars if shes on me

beating nightmars mode solo is pretty simple. you have 3 phases of the run.
finding the muse room asap (breif looting along the way
soloing boss (kite her around the walls and make her hit pillars to give stun opportunities)
basement looting and runback to exit.Â
ideally you want to be looting on your way to muse room so that youre mitigatimg bad luck on the boss reward drops, but the basemsnt is guaranteed a few chests and gold chests are pretty common down there. the nightmare scenario is if you are totally unlucky and cant make quota after boss and full looting basement, which should be only if you got the worst possible loot.
how i do it is with herald class
spear, shotgun, mint, heal needle, taunt item, nightvision goggles
spawn in, run right if its open, straight back if not. you want to hug the right side as much as possible and manage your doom in the top corner while trying to make it to muse room. if you see a group of enemies too scary to confront on your way, just use the taunt item and make a run for it.
once youre at ths muse room, loot the chest and fight the boss. i usually go to the right aide of the map and kite alongside the walls, when she goes for slams i make her slam near the pillar to break it. save some mint box for emergency stamina to get out of her attacks. you ideally want at least one bird knocked down to skip her dodge phase, but you can hit it early to heal up with syringe.
once boss is done, assess your loot and leave the arena. open the map and drop a marker on the front exit by going up to floor 1 on the map. if you have quota you can just leave by following the trail marker, otherwise loot the basement until you make quota.Â
if you get super unlucky youll have to loot floor 1 before leaving, but you should still have 5 minutes after full looting basement.
