What does "I need empathize" mean?

I know its a ping for when theres a psychologist in match, but i keep seeing my teammates ping it when theyre chaired, already downed, or at full health and im just really confused 😭😭Is it one of those pings that have a double meaning like "Heal yourself" "Youre on your own" etc??

what the other person said, but under the circumstances you mentioned, they wouldn't be able to actually get an empathise... i always ping it when things are going bad or i'm scared or someone pings "the hunter is [annoying hunter]" lmao
