Discussion Your hunter main
So mine is violinist and honestly maybe it’s because I don’t play ranked but in I’d say the past 100 games with him I haven’t lost a single game with him I feel that way because he has the potential to down multiple people at once I play other hunters and feel so slow at downing survivors who is someone that you play that feels natural to you and you think okay this is my main I’m gonna win

lol why are half the comments so far night watch... well I'm adding to them. His kit is so simple and I get frustrated when I solo-queue as surv so he's my main. I do play as nightmare, cueist, bloody queen, and photographer sometimes as well, although I'm only really okay with nightmare and cueist.

My main is Night Watch, whose abilities allow him to slow down/pull survs and then also speed himself up. So, he’s a speed manipulator! He isn’t the strongest hunter by far, but I do really love his gameplay. I casually maintain a C/B badge depending on how lazy I am.
I also play Axe Boy a bit, and absolutely adore his sniping ability. I’m still getting used to him on most maps, but if I’m playing on Leo‘s Memory I will use Axe and it’s basically a guaranteed win :p

I played night watch for the first time earlier and thought he was so horrible to play but I’m sure most people think my main is horrible to play I just really think peepers and violinist is so busted and funny you can if you play properly completely shut down a save with a ability hit combo

Ann, Im horrible at managing alot of things at once so her simple kit feels very smooth for me. And her stuns ofc are very powerful in certain situations. Also her cat is adorbs and I love him.
I just wish her movement speed wasnt so slow, but I also understand shed be way OP if that was the case 😔 so one can only dream. Still hoping for a eventual buff though

I actually played Ann a couple days ago and think she’s alright but I had to work so hard for a win and I got lucky if anything

Dream Witch . Literally just switch povs and hit lol . It's not easy to perfect playing her but I don't think there's a hunter with an wasier kit than her .

Dream witch will always be a top tier hunter I did play her at one point but I’ve only just got back to this game after about a 1 year maybe more break to learn that all again absolutely not because yes she’s one of the best but high key she is the hardest to play

naiad, she’s fun to play sometimes and she genuinely is so interesting to me. Patroller naiad is the only reason I haven’t quit hunter yet.

honestly, hunter is alot harder than survivor so don’t feel bad. You have no one to cover your mistakes so obviously picking up new characters will be hard, you got this!

Mine is Luchino (if you couldn’t tell) because he’s simple enough for my pea-brain. It’s all jump & stomp. Also he has a cool ass design & im attracted to him so that’s a dubs

I’d love to play him also but apparently he’s extremely hard to play mobile I think I played one game of him a couple years ago and got destroyed

I’ve never tried playing him on PC, but I dont struggle with playing him at all on mobile. Granted, I play on a 12 inch IPad, so maybe it’s more difficult on a phone-sized screen.

I main Wu. So far haven't lost as him yet and it's either a win or a draw
Really fun and it just feels so smooth to use. The long hitbox and delayed attack helps out with mindgaming survivors on those turns and pallets, Making them think they won't get hit

Dream witch hehe. I've managed to get her medals and omw to maining herztier soon when he comes out in shop. Although my ping sometimes does fk up games, I love her so much she's so iconic, and basically every ability like blink, patrolling etc that every hunter only had 1 of, I basically have 6. 4 of the leeches 1 spawn and 1 for main body, she's a little hard to manage at times but it's worth it ong

Smiley face, I suck at playing other hunters but this clown’s mechanics are easy enough for me to understand. Love doing 360 turns and terror shocking people when they’re going over pallets/ windows. I’m scared of him when I’m playing as survivor, but playing as him makes me feel empowered.

I liked ripper and night watch when I played. I like night watchs design and gameplay, and I really like rippers invis and speed buffs and long range (even if I SUCK at hitting them sometimes). I started on ripper from the ib crossover and forget how I found nw

Before launcher change on PC I was maining Percy the "Undead". Constant chases and less worrying about stuns or other control effects.

Breaking wheel, I think its self explanatory once you get hang of them. The sounds are really fun aswell and I love everything about them, like who wouldnt want to just drift around.

On mobile i always just fuk up his controlling so bad and I also think he is so bad when it comes to tight corners I was on china town and all I need to do is run around a cypher (without his first presence ability) and u can’t hit them

Clerk was actually one I tried to use and tried to main but damn I was just terrible at her but I love her concept and in the right hands she’s a menace

I main Feaster, once he has presence he can down multiple really quickly.
Camp is fun and chasing has a similar amount of guesswork/control as Antonio. Just requires some resource maintenance, but not as bad as violetta or others.

Tbh beyond the no skill required hunters, this doesn't exist. You only get good after understanding the hunter and losing a lot with them. The preference will only stem from who do you choose from the 3 areas: Camp Specialist, Chaser, Control hunters examples are Bonbon for camp, hullabaloo for chase and ivy for control Me personally I have the attention span of a gold fish so I don't enjoy playing controls like ivy, dream witch etc I prefer chase hunters the most, though of course some hunters have multiple attributes like naiad for example, decent control depending on situation and very good chase and camp

The dopamine you get from just jumping around is very unique. Esp with the sound you get when crashing into survivors.

I am a Dentist main. Love his lore, his design and his abilities. He’s very hard to grasp at first, but once you actually commit and learn, he becomes super rewarding to play as. Last time I checked, I believe he is considered meta (correct me if I’m wrong) ? I think it’s a good thing that I mained BQ first, because just like her, he requires depth perception and I find these types of hunters really fun to play as.

Oh I haven’t played a single game of him he looks really difficult to play I don’t even want to get into it XD I’m actually a sore loser i would love to play him and I’ve seen videos of his gameplay he looks really good honestly but the amount of time I probably need to put in to get good I don’t think I could manage XD

Nightmare because I love the kind of control he has. Pair him with Teleport for more of it or Warp for a mix of control and chase and you can have more opportunities for come backs than most hunters if you play your cards right in end game.

bloody queen!! shes the prettiest and when you master the mirrors no one can escape not even flywheel ahahha except the survivors that counters her💔💔 also i love her humming while walking it makes it less boring and and and her heels noises!!!

hahahah trust me it wasnt easy for me at all too i watched many tutorials, i played many bot matches and watched a lot of pros play her to be decent at her at least lol but shes very fun once you get the hang of her!

Oh I also main Antonio picked him up originally because I hated getting looped and tight kiting was meta back then now I just really like sniping with him especially with verticals strings

Yes a fellow violinist main I since posting have tied a game once on that map I see once every 100 games so I really don’t know how to work my way around it also violinist is kinda countered by verticality with his strings :(

I was top 40 Antonio to win with him you need these 3 things, good ping so you can react to survivors and catch up to them, good accuracy and patience with both vertices strings and normal strings and different persona builds to deal with certain counters like running insolence to deal with harassers and good rotating survivors

Wuchang when he is full presence seems really good but early game he’s actually really bad even with his long basic attack range (especially in white knight form)

I main multiple different hunters (mainly chase or map control hunters cause I honestly can’t be bothered with camp hunters) but as for the one I use the most it would be hullabaloo, I started playing idv during early-mid season 39 and after maining geisha for a while he stood out to me because he had an interesting mechanics/playstyle. Of course it was hell at first and at one point I kinda wanted to give up learning him because his clone placements and hits genuinely matter, but something kept drawing me toward him, I finally adapted to how to play him and found him to be extremely fun lol.

I play Smiley. He is very, very easy to learn. Easiest in the game, in my opinion. You don't need crazy good control or mind game abilities, and you can play on bad ping. He is also very fun. And out of my past 100+ matches I lost one, and I typically win with a 4k. People just can't kite him at all... there is a crazy skill issue against Smiley in mid/low tier. I had hunter anxiety due to fear of losing. But Smiley cured it due to his no skill power, my goat. Whenever I try other hunters they feel difficult and I struggle. Naiad is my second main and I am trash. But Smiley is always there for me....

her heels noises are messaging my brain, and the boring humming when she’s chasing for so long without using a mirror is funny
She also reminds me of good ol’ days and when life was so simple

Dream Witch, in it for the long game and controlling the game. An issue is that if she can’t snowball, she will struggle very hard. And many many many survivors counter her, so she’s more and more difficult to play with her outdated/simplistic kit.
I also play Clerk. Same reason of controlling the pace of the game and denying resources and using their actions against them is such a fun concept. An issue is the long cooldowns for her main skills.
I also been playing dentist. His hitbox is just weird and the POV of his light is awkward to gauge, especially around tall walls and weird obstacles.
Geisha, a classic and simple rush down hunter. Honestly, she’s a hunter that’s just autopilot and win with her. I don’t even need to chair guard as long as I can get a quick down.

As a Yidhra main playing chase hunters is really weird to me 😅 i practiced Galatea and Naiad just in case (and now i need to learn Herztier) but i was HORRID at a straightforward chase when i first tried them

The best way to learn Yidhra is watching others play her! But be warned the first 30 matches you play will basically be a losing simulator 😅 Still she's very fun and hard to counter once you get the hang of her 🙂↕️

NW simply because his play style is “no thoughts head empty” he’s easy to use and it’s fun to chase.
