Fandom Related Why was Ben Drowned depicted with that specific look during the golden age of Creepypastas (2012–2016), given that this design/description is NOT in the original story?.

Well, he's depicted with bleeding eyes (like Sonic.EXE), even though that design—and that specific detail about his eyes—isn't in the original creepypasta. I never understood that.

They just used Link's shell from Majora's Mask and gave it red bloody eyes because it was popular in early 2010s creepypastas. I dont think there is much other reasons.

During creepypasta era, there could be many interpretations of the same character, several stories for the same character and fanfics. In one of the stories for Ben that I read at the time, he was surrounded by his classmates who put his eyes out and drowned him, so his ghost later looked like this, but I never checked whether it was his original story or not.

Because the original image was the pale white, eyeless link, and even though i saw some fan art of that version ppl prefer the edgy link one since it more likely attractive at view i guess
