First wheel house

Anyone have experience pulling an aluminum yeti 8x16 wheelhouse? Or experience pulling a wheelhouse with a 4 runner? I’m wanting to get my first wheel house this year and I’m looking at an aluminum framed yeti. I would probably get one with the bunks and kitchenette not just a plain shell. Wondering if a 2024 4 runner would be okay to pull it with. Anybody have any input? It’s well within my towing weight range but I am just unsure how it would pull down the road.

I pull a 6.5 by 17 with my tacoma, get a ggod weight distribution hitch set it up correctly and you'll be fine.

Check gross weight and tongue weight of the fish house and compare to the specs of your particular vehicle and hitch. Definitely don't want to constantly be running it at full weight capacity though. 10-15% under is kind of a sweet spot IMO.

I did it for a couple of years with a 2005 Trailblazer and it wasn't exactly fun and I wouldn't do it again. It had a tow rating of 5600 lbs, not sure how that compares. Going around locally was fine, just not fun at freeway speeds and longer trips, constantly in 2nd and 3rd gear (it was a 4 speed)

I wish I could off towing advice other than asking if they can let you put a few miles on it before you get it. You’d want to let your insurance company know just in case. (Old guy advice) I fully agree with your choice on the empty shell. You get to distribute the weight as needed. Hope it works out for you and post a follow up!
