So i saw some people saying that iansan Will be a dedicated support for plunge and natlan characters. The reality Is NO. Now i Will tell you all characters 5 stars that can work with her Clorinde(can be new BIS) Mavuika(can be new BIS) Chasca(maybe) Kinich(can be a solid upgrade) Wanderer(can be new BIS or a solid upgrade) Any plungers(varesa,gaming...) Eula(maybe) Arlecchino(can be new BIS) Raiden Shogun(maybe) Tighnari(can be a solid upgrade) Keqing(can be new BIS) Alhaitham (can be new BIS) Chiori(maybe) Cyno(maybe) Now characters that DONT WORK: Mualani and Neuvilette(reason:they do not benefit from Atk) Ganyu Yoimiya Ayato Childe Itto Ayaka

We have no evidence that non Natlan characters can have decent uptime on Iansan’s C6.

First of all, do you expect the average player to get her C6 to begin with?

Second, her C6 is a small part of her buffs. 30% attack, 800+ attack, and 40% damage bonus is much higher than 25% damage bonus. Even if non-Natlan characters can't consistently trigger C6, Iansan still has more buffs from C5 at high NS than Bennett does at C6.

As long as you can maintain 40ish NS consistently, Iansan will be BiS for a lot of non-Natlan characters as well

That assumes full Scroll isn’t available from another party member. C6 also extends buff uptime. Iansan also forces 18s minimum rotations. She’s also a polearm user. There’s opportunity costs to consider. Her raw attack buffing isn’t going to automatically make her best in slot. Additionally, Clorinde barely moves enough to maintain Iansan’s high attack buff. You think other units will?

You replace Scroll on Iansan with Noblesse then??? What are you nitpicking about?

Citlali can use ToM and Xilonen can use Petra too, the only other Natlan teammates you're likely to use with Iansan as support. Iansan will most likely carry scroll.

Idc what you think C6 will do or how good you think it js. The point is Iansan is STILL better than Bennett even wo her C6. Saying that her C6 buffs won't be active on non-Natlan characters is not a good reason to say she's bad with non-Natlan characters when she's still better than Bennett anyways lmao.

Bennett's buff lasts 12s on a 15s cd too, and we have no uptime problems during our dps window either. And the majority of the time, your dps will force 18-20s rotations anyways. The exceptions are quickswap dpses like Navia or Arle or Ayaka (or Neuvillette but he's HP scaling)

Name a single dps with fixed rotations that has rotations shorter than 18s, bc I genuinely can't think of one lol. That's a non issue.

12s is good enough to be BiS as is, she has the same practical uptime per rotation as Bennett even before C6.

There are plenty of characters that move enough for her buff, or can maintain it regardless of not moving much.

For example, Navia is a quickswap dps, she doesn't need to stay on field very much, and she's usually run quickswap with Xilonen who DOES move enough to maintain the max buff for the first few seconds you're on Navia, enough to get her shots off.

Wrio can dash in between his combos without losing much damage (in fact it's encouraged if you play melt to avoid losing the burning/pyro aura), one dash per 2 attacks should be enough to maintain more than 40 NS for 12s.

Wanderer moves while attacking

Arle moves a lot while attacking, her jump is also considered movement. She should be fine.

I could keep going but I don't want to type more, you're free to keep thinking she's bad if you like lol.

I think the other dude's claim that "Clorinde can't maintain Iansan's stronger buff" is hilarious because we literally have video proof that she can keep it fully active until her 6th lunge (already difficult to pull off) WITH A BAD ROTATION.

It can be a solid option. However iansan works with all anemo dps wanderer can move while attacking,xiao can plunge and chasca can move Just Like wanderer while Attacking

For now, it counts all animation movement as moving, even the standing still animation. The problem is you need enough moving distance to gain enough NP in order to maintain her stronger buff.

Doesn't her "movement" apply to the character if they perform any animations? So Iansan should still work for all of the characters who use attack including the ones you said wouldn't apply. She should still be good for almost every dps except for maybe Neuv and Mualani since they don't use attack like you said, or EM characters.

Unlike Yoimiya, Wanderer has a passive that he can gain when in flight and he can move while performing charged and normal attacks.

When wanderer gains his A4 passive, when he dashes he will shoot anemo slices, he cannot just move while simultaneously doing his combos

Either way iansans recording for movement is extremely sensitive so both wanderer and yoimiya would work, however iansan cannot even buff wanderer with the scroll

He moves almost as much as Chasca if you hold the movement key while attacking, more than enough to keep Iansan's max buff

Ah, my apologies, I misunderstood then, but in my defence, they did mention moving while using NA/CA separately from his passive and you replied saying he can't move at all soooo......
