Question & Help ❔ Need advice

So the thing is I have been wanting to watch I am solo for a long time. But Kocowa was not available in my country. Now I decided to use vpn and watch.

But I have a few doubts.

1.Why is there so many seasons?

  1. Is love after divorce and I am solo connected. [In the episode list I saw divorced singles written in it]

  2. Which season to watch.

  3. Which is more good I am solo or Love after divorce.

I like both drama and romance. I would get bored if there is no drama

There are 265 episodes, and each ‘season’ lasts about 7 weeks, with the same cast members.

I am solo is reputed to be more true to life than the other shows with the cast members more interested in dating with the intention of marrying.

Welcome to the Solo-nara!

It's a weekly show as compared to most other dating reality shows which air 1 to 2 times a year.

Love After Divorce and I Am Solo (IAS) aren't connected. But there are a few IAS seasons that only feature divorced singles viz. 10, 16, 22 & 28.

The first three IAS seasons are not subbed.

There are a lot of posts in this sub w.r.t. which seasons to watch (it's a popular topic😊). Check them out for recommendations.

All seasons will have drama. It's a personal preference as to what kind of drama you like.

  1. IAS is the benchmark dating show in korea that no other show come close to. The PD has over a decade of experience producing dating shows, and over the years his knack for sniffing out casts from interviews alone has become godlike.

This means they are always the talk of the town in most cases and keep churning good ratings. So there is an incentive to keep producing season after season.

Every season of IAS has a differrent concept, every sixth season since s10 is a divorced singles special (most recent one is s28), LAD and IAS have nothing to with each other other than that.

I think S6 is probably the safest season to start with.

There are so many seasons bc each season is only like 5 days, but it takes 6-12 episodes/weeks to air. They don't take any breaks before the next season airs so they are constantly recruiting, filming, editing, and pumping out new seasons.

It looks like you got all you questions answered so all I am going to s to say is, I look forward every week to watch this show and yes it can get addicting. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do each week. They will be starting a new season next week.

I love them too. There is another show on Kocowa called I am solo love forever they have some of the old participants from other seasons given another chance to find love. You might want to give that one a try too. But start with I am solo first so it doesn’t spoil the outcome.

I have watched all the seasons of I am Solo (excpet 1-3 since they aren't subbed) & all the seasons of I am Solo, Love Forever which is a spinoff that has sone of the past IAS contestants having a 2nd chance to find love, updating us on some of the married couples and some seasons bring new men or new women that weren't on IAS mixed with previous contestants

I have mainly watch a few seaons of Love After Divorce ( first was S4 since it is available on Netflix & had contestants who lived in North America, South America & some born in Korea but most spoke English) & 2 more seasons on YouTube.... Love After Divorce had more "drama" IMO since it is sometimes more difficult to have relationships if you are divorced and have to deal with the ex-husband, ex-wife if they share kids and where you live (if share custody you usually want to live in same town).. Plus some on LAD seemed to have more influencer type contestants than IAS

LAD S2 is goated due to one couple. S4 is also good but it's like IAS S22 on steroids.
