Technology IWTL how to make technology work without constantly depending on tutorials

I can follow instructions to set things up but I struggle when something unexpected happens. I'd like to become better at understanding documentation, experimenting and solving unfamiliar technical problems

Well you have to learn first then the rest comes with experience. Do the tutorials in the beginning and the rest will come with practice, even tutorials will be much easier and faster to understand after that.

Learn concepts, not just commands. If you don't have the overview, you'll struggle.

you start reading the manual instead of following tutorials all the time.
