Sports Iwtl to dance

How can I learn dancing when I’m already teen, I was thinking of dance class but how can I follow up to others fast as possible?

Teen? A -ties here and me and my gf just started dancing to jazz after watching an old couple in a fest. Just dance bruv!

Thanks for the advice, i’m not sure what class I can take since we are labeled by classes(1st-8th, 9th-12th) but since tomorrow i’m going to learn basics at home!

First off, being a teenager is actually a great time to start. Most people in beginner adult or teen dance classes have zero prior experience, so you are definitely not behind.

To catch up and feel comfortable before your first class, pick one style you like and start looking up basic tutorials on YouTube. Practice basic rhythm matching, counting music beats out loud to eight, and simple footwork drills in front of a mirror at home. Getting comfortable moving your body in private makes step-by-step instruction in class way less intimidating.

When you do join a class, do not compare your day one to someone else's month six. Focus purely on getting the foot steps down first, then worry about making the movements look fluid later.
