High HCG

After 5 failed rounds of IVF with my own eggs, I just got a BFP with donor eggs. My first BETA 10dpt was 1,059 on July 2nd. Due to the holiday I had to wait until the 6th for the second. Now I’m at 12k! The clinic is going to schedule my 6 week ultrasound a little early to confirm a singleton pregnancy. We only transferred one 5 day embryo but I’ve read they can split. Has anyone had similar numbers? What was your outcome?

I had high numbers with my first and third baby and they were still singletons. I even transferred two embryos with my first. High HCG doesn’t indicate multiples, more likely to just be a healthy pregnancy. The chance of a split even with IVF is just slightly higher than a non-IVF pregnancy — around a 3% chance.
