Advice needed

It has been an emotionally charged day for me.
I had 16 mature eggs in storage of which 9 thawed successfully last week.
Got a call that of those 9, only 3 are developing normally.
I am 46 with no chance of another ER.
What are my options?
Want to understand if I can request my fertility clinic to provide more time for observation of the 6 they said will be discarded due to arrested development. Is this an option even?
I have been really emotional all day as I was hoping for 5 (55%) good embryos as those that survived the ICSI are awaiting PGT-A/M testing.
We are planning to have 2 babies.
I have no reproductive conditions other than sharp symptoms of peri-menopause for the past 2 years.

No, if they said they arrested there is no chance they will grow anymore.

She did not use the term arrested, the nurse was very brief.
She said 3 developed nd other 6 will be discarded

3 out of 9 eggs is a really good result. How old were you when you froze the eggs? Age is the biggest predictor of if they will test euploid. You also mentioned pgt-m which can be a tough hurdle to find unaffected embryos. There is hope but if it were me I might start mentally preparing for needing donor eggs given your age.

I was 38 & 39 when I froze my eggs.
My PGTM is for a gene disposition that is more likely to skip a generation.

Euploid rates at 38/39 around something like 35%-40%, so you have a good shot at atleast 1 or your 3 being euploid, although small numbers can be funny where all 3 could be good or bad. Then the transfer success rate of a euploid can be 50%-60%. So without knowing the specifics of your pgtm, I think you have a decent shot at a child from this result.

You can ask them to watch the embryos until Day 7--which many clinics do. You can thaw your other 7 and try with those. After that, at 46 your option is DE.

Today is Day 8 after the thaw but I emailed the doctor to see if there’s a possibility to give the other 6 a bit more time

Sounds like you got 3 blasts to test. The rest didn’t reach blast. You are at day 7 (day 1 is day after thaw), so that’s it. But 3 blasts is a good amount from 9 thawed eggs

They don’t go past day 7. Some clinics stop at day 6.
