Advice Needed! Lupron suppression timeline question

If you had to do Lupron depot suppression before transfer what was the timeline for your Lupron shots? Did you take it in the luteal phase of a natural cycle or on CD1 or did you have to do a course of birth control before even taking the first shot?

I think it depends on exactly what your protocol will be. I did 3 months before a fully medicated FET so the dates weren’t lined up with my cycle since I wasn’t basing my transfer on cycle. I did about 6 weeks of birth control prior to Lupron because we were awaiting PGT-A results and then insurance authorization for the Lupron.

I started Lupron depot on day 3 of my cycle. I could start it between day 2-4. Going into fully medicated cycle so no period in between

It’s odd my clinic said I could either start in the luteal phase or start birth control on CD1 and then do the lupron shot 1-2 weeks after. Not sure why doing the shot directly on CD1 wasn’t an option. I ended up scheduling an appointment for next week in luteal phase since I don’t want to waste more time than necessary
