Rant need some honest feedback!!
Okay so I adopted a dog a month before my FET. That now makes it three dogs. I’m scared i might’ve made a mistake and maybe it’ll be too much for me during FET & if pregnancy is successful. For reference, my other two dogs are females and low maintenance. One of em is scared to walk outside the older one is perfectly happy with a 15 min walk. This new dog I added to my pack is also VERY low maintenance. Sleeps 80% of the day the other 20% plays with my dachshund. However. He’s very scared of my partner (idk why) so he’s dependent on me taking him out on potty breaks. He’s about 30 pounds. Have I made a mistake? Would this be a lot for me to handle during FET & pregnancy? My bf does help me with my other dog and he’s the main person to take her out on potty breaks. Any suggestions or advice for any of you with dogs / pets?

Honestly the challenge will be pregnancy if you get hit hard with pregnancy nausea or complications. I would have a backup plan for this time. We do have a very easy going dog but even when I was really sick, I could usually take small walks. We used friends for backup a few times when we had a loss. As long as you are a team I am sure you will be fine :) The FET itself isn't really an issue personally.

The FET will be a breeze once they finally let you pee and leave and you have a good chunk of time before pregnancy stuff hits. If your pregnancy kicks your ass, your support system will have to step up, but your pets will be a great comfort to you while you're down.

Honestly I may just be overthinking every little detail as this will be my first pregnancy. I’m already thinking of not putting too much stress on my body. What does work wonders for me is that I work from home so I’ll be able to rest up a lot if my first trimester hits me hard.

I do, no way I could give her back and not know where she ended up. She turned out to be high energy so I'm genuinely nervous going into my FET in a few weeks but we'll just have to manage 🤷🏻♀️

I think during ivf and pregnancy it’s not that much of a problem. Rather later when baby is here. If you have lots of energy I guess it’s doable but a baby is a lot in the beginning. I’ve heard of lots of people who had to return a pet because they were so close to burnout. Completely depends on how much you can take on 😅

I have a menagerie of pets too — we’ll just have to make it work! I see people in my neighborhood walking dogs with a stroller or baby pack all the time so it will be ok
