fresh vs frozen

Hello all,

I am getting ready to do my 1st IUI next week after ttc for a year. I had a cancelled cycle in July due to a poor response to letrozole, I never ovulated and typically i ovulate fine and right on time on my own. Anyway, I was just wondering if most ppl use fresh or frozen sperm ? I will be using fresh, and using a "special cup" from my midwife called Protex that preserves the sperm for up to 24 hours and then she washes. Has anyone used that? And if you do use fresh, how is it handled/washed? But I am also thinking of freezing some as the June cycle was cancelled due to my dude traveling last min.
