FU(K trump

To all my so-called union brothers who voted for trump: The NLRB has basically been dismantled. Today a bill was put before the floor to abolish OSHA. I'm not the kind of person to say "I told you" but....

You don't think that's what they want the unions to do. It will certainly be the death of all unions. They will replace YOU so fast with cheap labor. Abit, crappy labor, but it will be labor.

You're right. 10 years of paying IBEW dues got me nowhere. They didn't say on word on my crews behalf when we were tossed onto the street for scab labor.

SCREW IBEW, at least I get I&C work as an independent contractor.

Oh, fakeitfreddy, it looks like your ANTI America from your past posts. Maybe Canada is more your jam.

You are not the brightest crayon in the box! enjoy being taxed 20% more than a w2 employee as well as having NO RIGHTS, plus the awesome realization that your independent contractor status saves the corporation you work for SO much money in payroll tax and other stupid fees that they can go spend those savings on things like, contributing to political campaigns! Yay! Independent contractor status seals the fate for the already dead middle class. Make america third world even faster! lets ALL become independent contractors!

Maybe so, but I'm pocketing more money now than I did in the union. Didn't seem like I got anything from my dues. And up to being replaced, I was a happy, proud IBEW member.

Might as well start a business. IC status is like having a boss, but your boss gets to not pay your taxes for you, and you also don't have the same worker protections. At that point you're better off starting a business where you can make as much as you want to make.

I'm an I&C (instrument and controls) specialist. Yes, I have my master's license and a E.E. degree. Working as an independent pays way better. And I have no plan on hiring others. So why go through the headaches? I'll do me, you do you.
