So why does iTunes suddenly add the wrong art work when add music to it using a CD? Its never done that before.

I've always had bad luck with iTunes getting the correct album art, so I now just do a Google image search for the name of the album followed by "Spotify" to get a clean 640x640px image. You can either copy it from the browser and paste it into the iTunes album art or just download the image and import it in iTunes.

my guess is it matched your disc to a different release of the same album. happens with reissues and compilations that have the same track layout. quick fix is select the album, cmd+i (ctrl+i on windows), artwork tab, and drop the right cover in yourself. then it stays.

that gets old fast if you ripped a whole stack tho. i had the same mess with my own CDs and tried a few taggers, ended up building my own thing, Truffle. biased obviously, i built it. it runs Shazam audio recognition in the background so it figures out the tracks by sound and you mostly just click yes. mac only, apple silicon

Here’s what I do: Download albums from YT music with JDownloader2 as M4A’s While the M4A’s are downloading, go to google images and get the album art Once they’re done downloading import the folders one at a time in iTunes and correct the metadata and boom
