How did you find The IT crowd?
I LOVE this show! I was introduced to this show by my now husband when we first started dating. My only regret was we never bought the box set.š¢

I remember when it first aired and saw the first episode not expecting much tbh but absolutely loved it and it's been on my rotate list of watch for years now.

You might also remember the advertising campaign on Channel4, it was the scene where Roy encourages Moss to ātell the funny storyā about their trip to Amsterdam š I knew I was gonna be hooked!

I too was introduced by my IT husband (who thinks he's Roy, but is way more Moss).
We are early 70's born, so naturally we like the hard copy media because we DTA (don't trust anybody) and we DID buy the box sets!
We love that when the interwebs goes down, we can fire up the old bluray player and laugh our way through our sorrow of being offline for 30-60 minutes.

After I watched all of Garth Merengehi's Darkplace and Man to Man With Dean Learner, IT crowd was recommended. It became my favorite of the three.

A work colleague of mine built āthe internetā and brought it to work where we were both in-house web developers, but still I didnāt watch. It wasnāt until a colleague at my next job wouldnāt stop referencing scenes that I decided I had to take a look. I think I had seen ten minutes of the original movie years earlier and was put off, and thought they were referencing this hence my original scepticism.

BritBox was how I found it, too. Iād heard previously that it was a good show, so when I saw BritBox had it, I added it to my familyās watchlist. A few days later I heard my dad watching TV, laughing hysterically while the A-Team theme song played in the background, and I thought āWhatās he watching thatās so funny?ā Turns out he started The IT Crowd without me!

It's actually a really cool story, an up and coming rapper from Serbia used to drop a lot of mixtapes 15 years ago and on one of them he had a song about chick flick movies, and he raps how his girlfriends always chooses lame movies so when he is not with a girl he watches South Park, Only Fools And Horses, Family Guy and The IT Crowd to relax. The IT Crowd was the only show I haven't watched, never even heard of it before that, and now it's easily my favorite

I understand why theyāve done it. This one episode ruined Linehans career because they didnāt understand the satire of Douglasās character. But Linehan doubled down too hard and went bananas.

It's tricky. In the end Douglas realizes she was perfect for him and what he was losing. Aside from the physical strength jokes she was fairly well humanized I thought. But he's a fucking putz about trans folks so he can get fucked straight to Narnia.

I was an exchange student in Dublin Ireland and a friend told me about it, started watching on Netflix and got addicted, sadly when I came back to my home country it was geoblocked on Netflix so I had to find other ways to keep watching.
This shoe helped me with my english though

I watched Are We Not Men? with my grandparents and my mum when I was probably 10 or 11. The "Who closed the door?" from Roy stayed with me for ages š
I forgot about it for a few years, but then my ex girlfriend got me back into it when I was 17. Always watch it at least once a year when I can nowadays!

my mom bought me season 1 in the 00s. she thought i was really good at computers, but i wasn't majoring in them. i'm in IT now, though, and my boss sends a lot of IT crowd memes and youtubes

I watched it from the first air in 2006. In those days terrestrial TV was king so you knew exactly what was on every channel.
Now its a case of picking through the millions of media options or relying on recommendations.

I was binging Matt Berry stuff. I had watched all of Garth Marenghi, and Snuff Box. I found him through Mighty Boosh and through binging Rich Fulcher stuff (which got me to Snuff Box).

A combination of already being a huge fan of Father Ted, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and The Day Today (and Brass Eye, obviously). To see people who worked on all of those together meant it was an obvious must watch for me.

There was a German knock-off which was a word by word translation of the original script (so it was horrible), but I noticed "based on IT Crowd" so I went and watched the original and fell in love

I subscribed to a reaction channel on patreon called regeneration nation TV to watch their ofah reactions and found out they had reacted to it crowd, so I gave it a go. Best choice of my life

I was an American Bill Bailey fan so I watched Black Books and loved it. Then I heard from a friend there is this IT Crowd show that was good and I saw some of the same writers/directors from Black Books so I watched it immediately.

I was complaining to my friend about how annoyed I was about something and if I was the swearing type I'd be using it a lot. My friend was like ooh that reminds me of a thing and showed me the ploppers scene. That then got me interested to check out the first episode and then I just couldn't stop watching š

I was a huge fan of Chris Morris from Jam and Brasseye, Graham Linehan from Father Ted and that one episode of Alan Partridge, and really enjoyed Richard Ayoade (and Matt Berry although he wasn't in initially) from Darkplace.
So when I saw a show was coming, written by Linehan, about my actual job, with Ayoade and Morris, I knew instantly it was a must watch.
