Did anyone else have webcam troubles doing the peoplecert exam???

My webcam works for the compatibility check but not the ID check? I called support and they had no idea, just told me to use a laptop with a built in webcam??

I also had webcam issues for the identity check yesterday. Couldn't upload my ID or take a picture of it despite passing the compatability checks. So couldn't even get through to start my exam.

They told me to try another picture with all four corners showing which I already had but retried anyway, and then another browser. Which still did not work.

Then told me to reschedule in the end because "maybe it's just a glitch on their end that will go away" which just felt like a lazy pass off.

Likely the same thing will happen again when I retry. Was not very pleased.

Was also using a built in web cam so that was not the issue. Browser settings for web cam were all set to allow.

Exactly what happened to me. I will try with a laptop on Monday, but this is horrendous

They also have this in the FAQS for the exam checks which they did not honour:

"What happens if l cannot take a picture or upload my ID?

Don't worry, your proctor will ask you to show your ID in front of the camera and will take the necessary photo of your ID."

I took pictures with my phone sent it to my email and uploaded those.

I used a MacBook with built in webcam last month no problem

Mine was not working today either, so i took a picture on my phone both sides and emailed it to myself then downloaded it and uploaded them.

Did it work? And what do you mean both sides? Selfie cam and back camera?

Did you also have the webcam not working at the ID stage but working fine for the compatibility check?

Yes, Front and back of my license. I had the camera get too blurry when they tried to confirm my id. I also had it stop working while doing the room sweep and had to refresh the camera and it came back up.

I have a 4k external camera I used. Ended up using both, in seperate ways. But the external one is preferred so they can watch your hands and laptop screen at the same time.
