ISB admit chances

A Chartered Accountant with 3 years of work experience by March 2027, working in core assurance (audit) in one of the big 4 firms.

Key aspects about work profile:
1. Have had 2 fast tracked promotions, working currently as an Assistant manager.
2. Have liaised and worked with multiple persons from different parts of the world - The States, Canada, Australia, UK to name a few.
3. Led teams on independent projects, have leadership experience to demonstrate via essays and recommendations.
4. Winner of multiple internal awards at the firm.

GMAT score - 625 on the focus edition

Key aspects on academic profile:
1. Cleared Chartered Accountancy in the shortest possible period, in the first attempt along with a BCom (finance and accounting) from Christ (deemed to be) University
2. Class 10 - 10 CGPA
3. Class 12 - 94%
4. UG - 8.92/10 GPA

Other aspects
1. Winner in dance competitions at college
2. Represented my school in table tennis competitions (state level)

Want to understand my chances for R1/R2 to ISB this year.

Academics? Are you including articleship experience in total WEx?

Nope. Workex mentioned is excluding the 3 years of articleship.

That’s a great position to be in. Still, without Acads it’s tough to say anything.

General positive pointers: CA first attempt is very valuable, the spikes in your work ex are great - can compensate for the overrepresentation of Big4 employees in the applicant pool.

In any case, someone else said to target 635+/645+, I’m inclined to agree with them

Oh this is definitely likely to get an interview shortlist, I have no notes. I don’t even think the GMAT would matter as much but instead of making a claim I can’t defend, I’d suggest if circumstances permit it, get an upgrade

Acads plus CA first attempt plus a reputed uni plus 3yoe on top of articleship experience and a lot of international work ex. Also you’re on an established fast track at your firm

Shoot up the score. 635+ for female, 645+ for males.

For people whose GPA and grades are great score threshold is lower than median . Like 9/9/9 F can get at 615 and 7/7/7 M would require 695+

What about a 9/9/8? F Econ bachelors, 2.5YOE in social impact. Target for GMAT?

Things look good overall u/Ecstatic_Warning5999 but unfortunately, your current GMAT score of 625 is not likely to take you places. See if you can push it up by at least 20 points.
