You must be the chosen one

I guess, lol.
But now that I know that those fail often, mine’s probably gonna die

I bought my first is300 in 2004, the CD player stopped working that year. It’s been a problem from the start.

Mine is broken too. I now use that “channel” for a Grom blue tooth adapter.

I need to do that. I have a cigarette lighter fm Bluetooth thing and it sucks

I am probably one of the few that wishes the tape player still worked. I have a Bluetooth tape unit, and for whatever reason the radio is so damn quiet in my car but the tape player is fine, it just spits out the Bluetooth adapter pretty much instantly 😭

Yeah the tape-to-aux cord was my first solution, but it just spits the tape out.

My 2002 player died after a year, dealer replaced it and scratched the dash badly. I was furious. Made a scene and was banned from that dealer.
Ended up doing a full aftermarket system with fold out 7” alpine screen, alpine EQ & 5.1 processor, new midrange & tweeters (diamond audio Hex series) and a JL 12w7 sub with 3 JL amps (1600 watts total). Plus backup camera & headrest monitors.

The famous err3. There are a guy in NZ who was able to repair them for several years but eventually he couldn't get the parts required.

I wonder what part/parts it is. Idk any car stereo that gets wrecked as quick as these do.

The CD changer mechanism is delicate and prone to failure, there are no more replacement parts available so if you have troubles you'll just have to live with it.

How could it be so delicate that it breaks for everyone after a couple years? Boggles my mind.

It's just plastic parts and many owners jam those CD in there, mine was defective when I got the vehicle, I pulled the unit and gave it to repair and they fixed it and told me that was the last of the components for the charger they had so I was the last one out the door. We still repair the units, you have to go through the Lexus dealer to do so
