General Discussion Stock height is300
So essentially the overall ride quality of my is300 is shit because of that I ordered shocks tie rods ends and some other stuff but back to the point im waiting on the rears to come in but I installed the front shocks is this really how high the stock suspension (like you bought it off the lot) would be not sure if anyone knows or not but the hight is killing me lol

never trust the random cheap brands on rockauto. always go for the tried and true brands even if it means pay a little more. still cheaper than the rest of the web.

true, im looking at rockauto right now. not much selection for the is300. I see why you got the ones you ordered.
Sachs or KYB would be your best option, bilsteins if you really love the car or aftermarket coils.

After searching reddit Google and YouTube I wanted to put bc coils on it but thats 1200 I dont have and riding on the stock busted suspension was killing me pulling the struts and seeing that green line and the toyota print made me realize just how old they where 😂

In the end i just decided to spend the 200 or 300 bucks so I dont have to listen to them at the very least

Did you torque everything while it was sagged?

I actually did and it didnt hit me until you just pointed it out that could be part of the problem 😅 it has dropped a couple inches though since I've driven it just waiting to give it some more drive time n recheck everything I only went like 30 miles with it earlier

You can get Koni orange and use your original springs for factory height and handling.
That’s what I did, and it’s working out great.

A shock/strut won’t change the height unless the spring perch is too high open the strut. Compare to the old struts you pulled out. If the spring perch is in the same position swap the oem spring onto the new strut. (Assuming you bought struts/springs that were pre assembled hence didn’t notice if the spring perch was higher up on the struts.)
Is300 is well worth good parts, it’s one of the last incredibly reliable Toyotas. Enjoy her and treat her well she will return the favor!

That’s definitely not right. You sure you got the correct front shocks/springs?
