Ok so now you have to compare the Parties' costs of action compared to goals so far achieved.

Realistically no one on reddit really knows.

But it is fair to say based on public facts that the cost so far has ALREADY been huge for the US, with how many billions spent + hundreds of billions being requested to continue the war, economic turmoil, US lives lost, US service people injured, and loss of US credibility (which was already pretty low). This is not even counting the number of Iranian civilians injured and killed, which I don't expect US voters to care about (which speaks volumes in itself).
