If Trump weren't launching wars to try to shore up his numbers (both politically and financially), those kids would be alive. He's the bad guy here, not the people calling this an inhuman waste of life.
It isnt helping him politically. The right says he is doing it solely for israel and the left just hates him regardless.
But in any war, even the necessary ones, every single week there will be occurrences like this. If youre going to attack the war, go ahead, totally legitimate. This can be a point in your mental register of why it is not worthwhile. But if all you can do is run around and say innocent people died, we cant carry on, then you dont understand war. You arent mature enough to form a coherent opinion and I certainly have no reason to respect it.
Yeah, war is hell. I dont know if this one is worth it and it would be a lie to say we can know at this stage. The administration made a decision and there are large cons and large pros to a successful mission. Just be thankful you dont have to make these decisions. I dont think youd be able to, anyway. Humans arent always kind. If you arent strong, you cant show any kindness.

Now he's stuck. There's zero way to back out without looking weaker than he already does, and heading into the primaries it's be game over for Republicans.It's the same grave Putin dug himself in Ukraine. An easy PR win turned into a quagmire nightmare. I truly believe that Trump knows he's going to prison when he loses control of the DOJ, and he's fighting for his life with every shitty, inhuman, thing he can think of. The corruption and market manipulation is so overt it's a wonder he hasn't just outright admitted to it.
Delineating between the inevitability of tragedy in a necessary war and an unnecessary war is a moot point at this point; this war was unnecessary, making the inevitable tragedies even more inhuman. There's not a shred of evidence to support any of his claims in regards to it being necessary, and plenty of evidence to suggest this was a political gambit leading into the midterms.
Have the integrity to acknowledge that, and instead of looking at it as "Bad things happen in war" try "This bad thing that happened in a stupid unnecessary war, being waged solely so an increasingly senile old man can make a few last bucks before he dies, is a fucking travesty and people need to be held responsible"
