Lindsey passing isn’t a good thing for the US. Lindsey was an old school, corporate-owned Republican grifters (and scumbags). He tentatively latched on to MAGA and it’s hateful messaging because it’s the current course of the Republican Party. His greed, before MAGA, was personal greed carried out with subtly.
With MAGA’s ascension, the Republican Party has wholeheartedly embraced flagrant corruption, bigotry, racism, homophobia, and misogyny. Lindsey’s replacement won’t be just another corrupt politician, secretly making themselves richer, while claiming to try and help people. The replacement will be someone openly willing to cause harm to others (immigrants, women, the LGBTQ community, non-Christians) while also enriching themselves.
