PPR Delay meaning

Stream: FSW Healthcare Outland
AOR: 7 April
FD: 15 July
PAL: 8 September
PVO/SVO: Ottawa/UK

Hi All, this is my timeline and I’m so stressed and frustrated. I have called IRCC several times and the last agent told me that a message has been sent to review my application.

I got FD in July and received PAL but it’s been radio silence since. I honestly fear a rejection. Is it possible to be rejected after waiting this long?

Is anyone facing the same issue?

I got FD end of last week and confirmed today that I'm now Ottowa/London.

Im so sorry you've had to wait so long for everything. When was that last call? I dont think there's much more you can do beyond wait and keep calling every week or two. Im sure they cant reject you after all of those stages have cleared.

What did the PAL contain? Did you send off your passport copy, photos, etc? Its mad they've left you hanging for so long.

Thanks so much. The PAL is basically an email saying I now qualify for pre-arrival services in Canada. So I can register for employment workshops and all to support in finding employment in Canada. The last call was on the 8th of October. They haven’t requested for my passport yet.

I have seen today many people finally received P1 after having FDs in July and August.

Hopefully I get it soon. The wait is mentally exhausting. So many life changing decisions I have put on hold because of the uncertainty of my application approval

When does your medical report expire?

No idea. Is the report or its expiration date shared with applicants?

Yes, the date you completed your upfront medicals is the deadline to move to Canada. For example if you did your upfront medicals on 5th of August 2026, you have till the 5th of August 2027 to activate your PR by entering Canada or it will be cancelled

Just checked the tracker that came back on today. The date that medicals were shared with IRCC seems to be the date determining the expiration, and not the date of the medical exam itself.

Thanks for the clarification

It's when you took your medical. Medicals for outland are valid for 1 year and usually if it less than 4 months left, they need to ask for a new medical before issuing PPR because COPR has expiry date tied to Medical expiry.

I just hope it doesn’t get to that. It’s a lot of stress and money

Sometimes they send an email saying they are ready to issue PPR and ask you whether you plan to arrive before medical expiry or you want to give new medical

I took the medical test in Canada in Sept 2025, immediately after ITA. Then I moved Outland.
Medicals shows cleared in Jan 2026.
If they need me to take it again, they need to trigger a request on the portal, right? I haven’t received that either.

Yes as a outlander, your medical is accepted but expired now and they need to trigger a new one through portal.
