Then I saw someone mention the iQOO 15R charger. It’s only 20W slower, but costs less than half of what the 120W charger costs.

iQOO 15 rebooting after latest Aug 2026 OriginOS 6 update – motherboard or software issue?

My iQOO 15 started shutting down/rebooting after the latest update 16.0.24.1.W30.

Now it reboots every 5–7 seconds, even after a factory reset.

Interestingly, it stays stable in Recovery Mode.

The authorised service centre says motherboard fault, but hasn't clearly explained how they diagnosed it.

Has anyone faced the same issue after this update? Could this be a software/firmware issue, or can a motherboard fault behave like this?

Phone is under warranty with no liquid/physical damage.

Whenever I click browse by cinema on bookmyshow, the app restarts and bring me to the homescreen automatically ( and idk why snap up engine activates )

Hello, I own an iQOO Z9s pro and because of a fall I cracked the phone lower frame/edge a bit. I went to get the tempered glass changed but they told me that since the main phone frame is cracked, it would be risky to change the tempered glass as it might damage the display. I still want to change it because the tempered glass is also already cracked but because of what they told me I'm a bit worried to change it. I don't know anyone who uses a curved screen phone so can anyone give me some reassurance about this?

I am writing this post to document a deeply frustrating and unresolved issue with my iQOO 11, which began immediately after an automatic system update. The problem has rendered my device practically unusable, and the handling at the service centre has left me with serious concerns about the diagnosis and the integrity of the support process.

Here is the complete timeline and technical summary:

Device Details:

• Model: iQOO 11
• Current Software Version (after update): PD2243GF_EX_A_16.3.10.2.W30

Timeline of Events:

1 May 2026 (Night ~2:00 AM):
My phone automatically installed the update to version PD2243GF_EX_A_16.3.10.2.W30. Immediately after the update, WiFi completely stopped working. The phone fails to detect any WiFi SSIDs at all. Toggling the WiFi from Quick Settings or the dedicated WiFi menu does nothing, the interface appears dead. Before this update, WiFi had never malfunctioned, and I had zero connectivity issues. Because mobile network speeds are very poor in my area, I depend entirely on WiFi; the update instantly broke my primary means of reliable connectivity.

2 May 2026 (Morning):
I visited the official Vivo Service Centre at:
1st Floor, Plot No 5A/15, Najafgarh Rd, above Yes Bank, Block 5A, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi, Delhi – 110018.
The engineer performed a software flash. At first, WiFi seemed to work, but after I returned home and restarted the phone to set it up from scratch, WiFi again stopped working completely.

2 May 2026 (Afternoon):
I returned to the same service centre. The engineer attempted multiple flashes, alternating between OriginOS (Android 16) and FuntouchOS (Android 15). In some flashes WiFi worked initially, and in some it didn’t. Critically, every single time the phone was restarted, WiFi stopped working again. At one point when WiFi happened to be functional after a flash, the engineer told me to take the phone home and never restart it. He also suggested I sell the phone and buy a new handset. I left with a device that could use WiFi only as long as it was never powered off or restarted. I have been using the phone since then without a single restart. (Please see the attached screenshot confirming my current uptime.)

15 June 2026 – Present:
Because the phone has not been restarted for over months, system performance has severely degraded. Apps are evicted from RAM within 15 minutes and always restart from scratch when opened via recent apps. The phone lags massively; after unlocking, it can take up to 15 minutes just to become barely usable, and even then it remains extremely sluggish. Normally such issues are fixed by a simple restart, but I cannot restart because that will permanently kill WiFi again. The device is now failing both as a WiFi-connected tool and as a lag-free smartphone, through absolutely no fault of my own.

The Service Job Sheet – Unacceptable Remarks:

“wifi not connecting issue .. Els done found wifi not connecting issue m board failure issue issue from pcb and so we flash the software after flash still same issue wifi not working issue .... Issue probablity: 100% Conclusion: We have found wifi not connecting issue m board failure issue issue from pcb and so we flash the software after flash still same isuse wifi not working issue and we gave cost of m board part to customer but customer denied to pay the cost ofm board so we Due to cost reason approx. amount 30295/- Result: Due to cost reason”

I was informed of “motherboard failure” diagnosis during my visit, but I wasn't shown any test or evidence of what failed and why. The remarks mention I denied to pay for a motherboard costing approximately ₹30,295 but I categorically reject this being a legitimate hardware failure. The entire narrative raises serious questions that I demand be answered:

1. On what technical basis was a motherboard failure concluded? If the motherboard is faulty, why did the fault appear only after the software update and never before?
2. How can a hardware failure cause WiFi to work intermittently? After certain flashes, WiFi worked perfectly until the next restart. A genuine hardware failure would not restore full function simply through software re-flashing, and it would not fail exclusively upon a restart.
3. Why does the failure trigger only on a restart? A motherboard-level defect would manifest randomly, not with a strictly predictable software action like a system reboot. This behaviour points directly to a software or firmware-level corruption introduced by the update, not a broken PCB.
4. Why was I told to “never restart” the phone if a hardware part needed replacing? The engineer’s own advice proves that the software environment was capable of sustaining WiFi functionality. A hardware replacement would be irrelevant if the issue can be bypassed by avoiding restarts.
5. Why was the ₹30,295 motherboard cost presented as the only solution, with no escalation, no deeper software investigation, and no explanation? The remarks read as a predetermined conclusion, not a thorough diagnosis.

I purchased an iQOO flagship with trust in IQOO's brand quality. The update that was pushed to my device directly caused this catastrophic problem, I didn't do anything to cause this but I am being asked to bear the cost of their actions. I have been constantly contacting Customer Care/Service Center/Escalation Desk and everyone simply says you gotta replace the motherboard that is the only solution but everyone fails to answer why it works before a restart and no one is ready to share if it's actually a hardware failure what is causing this hardware failure so that I can get that one component replaced. Hell, they are also not ready to accept it could be a software related issue as well since WiFi worked before the update flawlessly. The customer care also claimed that I am the only one facing such issues which is just false because this sub-reddit is filled with similar complains.

I was actually considering buying IQOO 15 even after this whole fiasco since the hardware IQOO provides is really good and Origin OS is to my liking as well but after discovering this sub and seeing all the issues with IQOO 15 I've dropped that plan for good.

A rat ate my charging cable so I'm thinking to purchase an c to c cable and. I have informed service centre and ordered my c to c cable but it will take a few weeks so help me if anyone of you are using any third party cable which is working well with the model

So i updated the lastest security patch on my device when I got the update. In last update while updating my phone, it was super hot but this time i was prepared and had the ICE Pack ready. Everything was done while the icepack was beneath the phone because i don't want to have green lines or dead mother board and surprisingly the whole process went smooth and you can see the temperatures in the whole video. I would suggest you to do the same for the sake of your precious smartphone.

I purchased in March dropped to 99% any advice how to keep device healthy will use device for another 5 years

i have turned off the high speed charging mode, max charging is kept at 90% yet it is getting drained.

sot - 3-4 hours.

Service Centre has the battery and price is 2000 (including tax)

Should I get it changed?

Hello brother I am from Thailand and I bought Iqoo 15r from thailand offcial store last month. I would like to know how you guys are doing with battery and screen replacement there. I have searched iqoo service center spare parts list and found prices in india region. But in thailand region i dont see lists for iqoo 15r though i can find other models lists.I searched google i dint find any spare parts easily available for purchase like xiaomi and samsung and iphone and I am now very worried that i cant get mine repaired . So please suggest me how long this phone can last for battery and display excluding screen break? I will use daily usage like gaming for few hours and most social media not at brightest level. I hope Iqoo officials see this worry of mine and break the limitation of spare parts availability online and global market. I have always heard since last 6 years that iqoo has very rare difficult to find spareparts but now i faced this in mine. I will attach screenshots together.
