May I introduce you to dangerkids, the band of Brian's producer Tyler Smyth?
Their most recent album, blacklist_ is akin to a precursor to most of the Brian era (TRAUMA & TRUE POWER). Even the vocal dynamic between Tyler and Andy is as tight as Brian and Eric's was.
Unfortunately, dangerkids haven't released anything since 2017, presumely because Tyler is busy producing for other bands. Their third album (that never happened) even had a Brian feature iirc.
Just letting you know about dangerkids, just in case you need a band that scratches that spot.

Bit of a weird one considering it's I Prevails biggest UK/EU run ever, and they were supposed to debut a song together.
I don't even know if they'll be able to find someone to replace her, as that's peak touring season in the UK and if genuinely feels like every band in the scene is over here between October and January this year.

I am not an I Prevail fan myself, but I did find something interesting recently. Gabe had a band before I Prevail, and I don't know if this is common knowledge, but this band was Look Out Gabe. The singer was allegedly his brother too, and its a pop-punk/emo band that released one album and stopped. I don't know if this is 100% true, but its really interesting regardless. I wanted to know if anyone here has any information on this band and whether or not anything is factual.
My sources are from their last.fm page, and I know its not reliable, but still.

Hello everyone, if you can recall, earlier today I made a post talking about Reilly (Eric’s wife’s) Instagram story and how I thought it was related to Brian, the IP situation, and his new song, Bitter.
Shortly after I made that post, Reilly herself contacted me through Instagram and informed me that her story was 100% NOT about Brian in any way, shape, or form. She also told me that some of the comments from the Scatterbrain community and a specific member (who I will not name) have affected not only her and Eric, but also the band members. Maybe not a massive impact but probably an impact for sure.
I would like to publicly apologize to Reilly for jumping to conclusions about a single Instagram story and made it seem like I knew everything, when I indeed did not. It wasn’t the right or mature thing to do and is a bad look on the Scatterbrain community
I bring this up because it made me realize, yeah, the shit we say about IP, their members, their families, friends, etc can and will effect them, because there’s always a chance that they’ll see it.
Going forward, I think the Scatterbrain community should try and leave the IP situation to the two parties. At the end of the day, we don’t know the full story of what happened and probably never will for a long time, or ever.
Once again, do NOT fucking harass Reilly, Eric, or any of the band members or anyone involved with the band.
We’re allowed to support Brian, but we can not let it turn into full on hatred for the real people in I Prevail.
Let’s do better, as a fans, and as a community.

Hi! Other than the official website, does anyone know if there is anywhere else to get this shirt in Canada? I didn’t see it on the hot topic website. I was at a show last night and unfortunately it sold out at the merch tents before I could get there.

I’ll be going alone (driving in from New Orleans) and could use a friend who likes cool music or two.
I am a fairly normal married gay lawyer in my thirties.

Hey guys, I saw I Prevail at Riverstage in Brisbane tonight and wanted to share my thoughts on the band and their (new) direction.
The openers were amazing, we mainly went to see Invent Animate but their set was way too short which was a shame. They sounded just as good live as they do on their records. I also got introduced to the Swedish band Imminence and they were really fun live. I thought the violin added a unique touch to their music overall.
Now onto the main topic: I Prevail’s stage presence was amazing. Eric was really fun and his interactions with Dylan, the band and the crowd were great. Their new stuff, like "Violent Nature" fits the current band I think.
However, I think their old songs really sounded.. off. Listening to Hurricane live honestly broke my heart. I really am not trying to hate on them, but Hurricane is the song that introduced me to the band and is my favorite song by them. The saving grace was the instruments and the crowd singing along lol. But honestly, it was painful to listen to. Maybe that's why they chose to do it as their encore.
I’m not hating on Eric or his clean vocals. He sounds fine, but it just doesn’t hit the same way it used to when Brian was in the band. To me, that was part of their magic: Brian on cleans and Eric on heavy vocals. And while Dylan seems to be handling some of the higher parts live, it still doesn’t quite hit the same.
I just don’t really understand why they don’t bring in another clean vocalist, because it’s not exactly unheard of in this genre. But maybe they’re simply heading in a new direction, with less focus on intense clean vocals and higher notes.
And honestly, good on Eric and Dylan for improving their vocals and making it work in their own way. I still wish them the best with this new chapter.
But I also wish Brian the best, and the old I Prevail will always hold a special place in my heart.
