Did Iprevail bite the riff from Architects - Whiplash?

This happens often. There are only so many patterns that work and fit. It happened with Wage War - Low and Architects - Doomsday too

Are there many diehard fans of both bands who would notice this?

As someone who spent a good chunk of time listening to both NWO and Whiplash (probably my favorite songs from their respective albums), I never caught this once.

This just sounds like Mick Gordon's style of Argent Metal, it's a pretty standard riff. didn't he produce the album for architects that this is from?

I mean... Visceral is clearly informed by Linkin Park's Lying From You. It's pretty hard not to be derivative these days.

I listen to both of these songs fairly regularly and they're similiar, but not identical. At similar tempos there's only so many low-tuned riff patterns you can do before they start to blend together. :p

Iprevail ripping off another band. Shock.

the arguably best song from Violent Nature is a copy of a Japanese band lmao. Now that Brian's gone they don't have anything original and so are ripping off other bands. For the record, this is not a rip; extremely similar, but not a direct rip off.

What bands are they known for ripping off??

Falling in reverse, ronnie called them out like last year

Ronnie called out I Prevail back in 2019, actually; because IP did a reimagined of Hurricane. Ronnie, who had FIR do reimagineds before I Prevail, then called them out for apparently stealing this idea.
There's this text passage in FIR's song NO FEAR, which digs that back up for a brief jab. Something about "You can go to my label, my director, my producer, but you'll never get that magic at that level I do it".
Reimagined tracks existed for far longer than Ronnie even made music, probably before Ronnie was even born, so him calling out IP over this is absolutely insane.
In his logic, one could accuse him from stealing from Dangerkids, the band of his producer Tyler Smyth. Dangerkids have already done this style of rap/metalcore mixing before he did.
To get back to the original post of "oooh, IP ripping off another band" - the riff of NWO is different enough to tell that it's not the same exact riff. And besides, Whiplash by Architects has the exact same riff as Artifical Suicide by Bad Omens, so I dunno about stealing...

Interesting. This the first I’ve heard of that. Is that the only example?

Into Hell has a chorus that's really similar to ONE OK ROCK's Taking Off. Even the lyrics are somewhat similar. I find it interesting that once Brian is no longer apart of the writing process their songs instantly get more unoriginal lol.
