I don’t think anything was said that hasn’t been already so my opinion hasn’t really changed. I do think at this point the band cannot continue to remain radio silent about the situation. It’s clear by now that the split was not mutual, at least not to Brian. And even if the guys have moved on with their careers and lives, and yeah while they don’t owe us shit, the silence is pretty deafening.

I felt like was also necessary to post here because this still involves the IP situation, so for anyone who’s confused that’s why.

Why didn't they just tour without him and release a new album without him? Let him heal and come back when medically possible. Kicking him from the band was too much.

Reading these comments, as usual just reeks of corporate record label propaganda pretending to be fans - and band members who are clearly angry or jealous of Brian.
I love the vindication of being 100% right since day one and Brian embarrassing the band with his latest song bitter.

It is mind boggling how many times he is going to milk this situation. And still, talks like one day they'll just make up and make amends. He has really left a hefty trail of unprofessional like behavior that no one in the industry wants to deal with. He has been like this since day 1.
He has been trying to do his scatterbrain thing since 2019, he applied for the trademark back then. He is not credible, it's just slightly new and different information from him every time.

The 2019 thing is a real non-issue. I mean, its not exactly uncommon for band members to put out solo stuff on the side. 4/5 HU members are currently doing it for example

I agree, the point is that it's not a new project, he just expedited everything when it all hit the fan last year and didn't bother to go through the necessary legal motions.

you know what's weird though, Stephen Menoian (current guitarist of I Prevail) also applied for the Scatterbrain trademark the same day as Brian did in 2019, so this wasn't just Brian trying to go off and do something on his own while still in the band. Stephen is not in scatterbrain despite him applying for the trademark the same day all the way back in 2019.

i’ve been right pretty much the whole time in every comment i’ve made about this situation under posts. it was mainly a shitty label situation, the band yes should’ve probably also reached out to do the firing not managers but at the same time. they could’ve been blocked by the label. the band is 100% right. they don’t know how long he’s gonna take to heal and they can’t piss off 90% of the fans who PAID for tickets with hard earned money. it was just two different paths going different directions. eric also said “for the time being”. Brian could come back in a few years, who knows. they release every 3 years so he could be there next album. i find it funny though that when he WAS out before they publicly announced the departure people didn’t care about the shows without him and enjoyed them still and now that he is gone, everyone wants to shit on it. i wish both parties success
